Right so loot tables arenât exactly an issue with PL, and itâs really stretching to claim that they are. Iâd remind you that Heroic raid, M+, and pvp exist and will produce items of similar quality (obviously the exception being set pieces) as well as the GV.
I guess the argument could be made that you shouldnât have to engage in content you donât want in order to get the rewards you wantâŠ.but I donât think I buy that one.

The game absolutely should not be designed around RWF. It absolutely should be designed around top 100 either. Those players make up such a ridiculously small minority compared to everyone else that designing the game around them would just be dumb.

Itâs not that itâs a major issue, just an annoyance. Because PL chooses a person to get loot and then an item, it creates artificial higher and lower drop rates for different items. The more players that can loot the item, the higher itâs drop rate will be.
This is most obvious when comparing something like a ranged hunter weapon to a cloak. Every single person in the raid can loot a cloak, no matter what their loot spec is. Only hunters can loot a hunter weapon.
Because of how the raid works, there have to be classes that are not hunter in the raid. Statistically, you will expect to see more cloaks from deusagne than hunter weapons.

And we all agree with you on that point. Not one person has said that should stay the same. Personal loot with no restrictions is preferable. That gives the individual player agency over their own loot. THEN if the RL wants the loot for someone else, they can ask for it, but itâs not ultimately their decision.
No ninja looters or bad RL that might change the loot rules in the middle of a raid, and totally possible to trade anything to another player regardless of upgrade status.
THAT is the best compromise between the two.

I want master loot back, uncapped AOE, and kiting god-like creatures to cities so people in the AH can get one 1-shot for fun. heck have world bosses randomly raid all the cities for fun a few times a week.

I believe that those supposed bad guilds exploiting trials is a scapegoat. I believe itâs more about slowing down guilds and above all, smooth down flex lockouts. Someone rolling for a piece they canât receive is so annoying.
With that in mind, PLNR completely renders no1 obsolete. Nothing would prevent me from making a full paladin raid group and gear the one paladin that I intend to bring in mythic raid. They tried (and failed) to stop split runs. They are not gonna make it incredibly viable to do it.
