Bring back Masterlooter

That’s the point. It’s the most efficient way to gear a raid team. No one is asking for ML to go back to pugs to casual heroic raiders. This is for established raiding teams pushing for CE. So it can be mythic only, full guild only, completely opt in, etc.

But ML haters are stuck up on the strawman they have in their head. Adding it back wouldn’t affect them at all.

Gonna drive boost costs through the roof lol.

I do agree, I feel like when I get my weapon for a patch I have won that patch and no longer need to log on. Man it is an uphill battle. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

lol true. Maybe if this were to happen I would have to leave a character behind then haha

It would because pug leaders would have the option for the abusive system at their fingertips.

What is the solution to ninja-looting?

What is the solution to being passed on loot for the RL girlfriend/boyfriend?

Not if the option to turn on ML only took effect with guild groups like it was in legion.

Be in a group you trust

The guild up and leaving if there is bs happening. Its hard to put together a roster of 20 raiders so if a bunch of them were to up and leave it would kill all prog for a while while they re fill. It wouldn’t be in a guilds best interest to do that because they would be unable to kill bosses.

Guilds then get a bad rep and no one will join them either completely killing all progress.
I wont mention guild names for forum reasons but there was a guild on my server that was caught on stream not trading loot in a sale run and within 48 hours the guild was totally disbanded.

If you read his comment, he didnt quit over a drop. He quit over the gm not following their loot distribution rules. Which is what the pro ML people were saying you should do if the rules werent followed. because this neeeeever happens.

These people don’t want to see what is being said.

This, my friend, is the reason for much suffering in the world today.

So you’d pick RL friends over someone finishing a set?

Damn. I dunno how you could screw over someone more.

The item will drop again. If you quit the guild because of 1 drop, then yeah you won’t make it. If the option is between giving me 3 set and someone else 4set, make the 4set every time all else being equal. If it’s between me and someone else who both have 3 set, who gets a bigger upgrade? And I say all this as the 2nd to last person on my raid team to get 4set.

Id pick giving my friend a 0.1% upgrade over me getting transmog.

And I know it’s the drop and not the rules, because I can almost guarantee that if the item had been given to them in violation of the rules, they wouldn’t even remember it anymore.

These people live in a land of privilege. Where this never happened to them therefore it’s not real.

Most regular people know better. If you give people, especially online, the tools that can be used to exploit, or abuse people, they will do this every single time.

Solution for ML is simple. It doesn’t come back to the entire game. Make a separate realm where it’s an option and let the progression players and their perfect guilds go there.

Free transfers to the realm for the first week?

I’d say free transfers for a month. Why not. Lets be inclusive.

There really isn’t a need for a specific realm just remove the trading restrictions, It achieves the same goal as bringing back ML without bringing back the negatives that ML had.

I don’t know why people are going down the path of making convoluted systems and ways of doing things.

Exactly that way a guild can have a rule of saying we trade all personal loot.

Or each keep their personal loot and trade if they want.

It depends Imo. If a genuine good upgrade was not distributed according to the guilds rules to give it to the gms e thot then I would be out of there too. It isn’t about the ute. It’s the willingness of the guild to break its own rules and favouritism etc.

The rest of what you said I agree with though and I say that as a healer too soni geared last also.

No one said it never happened. Just that it’s massively overblown and if people wanted to they could mitigate it and the bad guilds would die. The stories people tell of being passed over on loot for 3 months are, after the first 3 weeks, 100% self inflicted Imo and therfore not deserving of sympathy beyond that point.

There are also next to 0 of these horror stories from legion. They are all stories of some time in tbh of cata or something. It seems off to me.

Because it would be funny watching the lower tier raiders try to do things without the higher level players carrying them. As players get higher ranked they overwhelmingly increase in support for systems like ml so the vast majority of the better players would go.

I would find watching what is left entertaining but perhaps that is a little spiteful of me caused by threads like this.

There’s nothing convoluted about it.

It exists on a separate realm so that it can only be an option for those who wish it to be an option. Nothing more nothing less.

That way you don’t blend with the larger population and you have your community that you want.

I say give master loot back for Mythic only. If you are in normal/heroic guild and want master loot, you are a control freak.

And for guilds with ce in the previous tier too. That way we can get tier in the right places etc in the first few weeks while we do heroic.
