Bring back Masterlooter

Idk about that, from what i’ve seen mythic raiders in prog guilds seem pretty consensual about master loot

I’m just not seeing how its fair that 19 raiders can’t have a system they consent to use because of 1 person that’ll get kicked for not wanting it

So tribalism.

Not everyone is mythic raiders.

Correct. Which is why no one is saying they should all have to use ml.
Not everyone is normal raiders either so why do we have to use PL?
(although that’s still not fair to normal raiders some of whom do want to use ml)

So what if master loot was only available in guild groups on mythic difficulty?

(For the record i don’t raid and i quit classic because of how much i hated loot council as a whole, so id personally never use master loot. I just support options being available to those who want them)

It wouldn’t be.

Blizzard wants to keep players around for longer.

Which is what it is really about. So after 1568 posts can we at least be honest with why PL was created?

I think it Ion who said something about it not being right that other players have the power to award gear to other players.

While it is true that loot helps you kill overtuned bosses faster, it’s also true that during Legion we heard over and over again that mythic raiders do it for the challenge and the camaraderie. Somehow in BfA that changed and we started to see “muh bis gear” complaints. Had something changed?

A raider told me that mythic raiders who claimed they didn’t care about gear and weren’t in it for gear were lying. If mythic raiding was harder but done just for the prestige, achievements, or cosmetics, nobody would do it.

That would go over well.

/laugh (like super hard)

You think that PL keeps people around longer.

The people who like Personal Loot don’t stay with World of Warcraft. That’s one of the driving factors to people leaving the game in droves. It’s definitely not the only factor, but one of the reasons these expansions after Legion have been so garbage.

Still have yet to hear a valid reason to bring ML back.

I don’t think, my opinion, that Blizzard had a valid reason for taking it away. Its their game and they can. Hell, they have done things more stupid then that in the past.

I would say, over all, Master Looter is just as valid to have as Personal Loot. It would be more valid to get rid of Personal Loot and just allow everyone a single piece of loot from every boss.

Were they a CE raider, or just some joe shmoe who thinks that normal anduin is currently an overtuned boss?

They did over they years I had to put in a few tickets about it.

I do support this.

so you harassed CS until they made a change you wanted?

Nope, just a simple ticket was enough to get things changed. Some people do bad things who knows why.

I am against ML returning for many reasons, but it is not up to me. So, I can not be so sure what Blizz will do.

I find a tiny bit of solace in that the Pro ML crowd make the worst arguments, completely flying in the face of Blizzard’s interests :

“Can we have Master Loot back so we can target/funnel the gear drops to the most broken specs, making the competition end faster, and the content consumed faster, and the interest drop off faster, and the complaints for more content start sooner?”

Why don’t you go make a ML game? :\ Or find your ML game? That’s your entire logic. You won’t, though.

Again, doesn’t solve the issues of being forced ginvited for pugs and two not giving trials and etc loot.

Aight now apply this for the overall game, GG’s. That’s how ML was removed. If ‘people were fine with ML and nothing was happening’ then why all the support tickets? :3

Go play it, it has ML. That’s what you wanted, no? Why isn’t that your main game?

That’s not our argument.

Our argument is give us the freedom to decide what we do with items that drop in our raid.
