Bring back Masterlooter

Yea, the number of people who feel entitled to loot via PL and dictate how strangers run other guilds is pretty pathetic.

I know, I was responding to your response to the poster who did say it. Was attempting to continue that line of conversation. It’s no biggy tbh. Just making sure we all try to refrain from personal attacks as that pretty much closes down the conversation and was what got this forum massively anti-ML at the start of this.

Meh, the ‘Wall of No’ crowd had to eat crow eventually. We can still hope the same for ML. Though I agree, the chances seem bleak.

Here’s a solution.

Create a separate Realm with ML enabled.

That way players know going into that realm it’s an option and it’s most likely going to be a thing. Then just let players decide if they want to play with it enabled or disabled.

Boom problem solved.

I’m going to bet that not many players are gonna go join that realm.

What innate knowledge do you have, that everyone else does not, to make this claim?

I have made the claim that the people I raid with, and the people we invited to raids don’t care one way or the other if we used Personal Loot or Master Loot. In fact, the last time we raided and ran the numbers Personal Loot was working better to gear our folks so we stayed with it the entire expansion.

You are going to claim that if Master Looter were to suddenly reappear, like an omniscient robot, you are somehow going to compile all the known “abuses” of Master Looter in every guild in the game. That isn’t possible, and others anecdotal evidence goes against yours.

Now this I could get behind.

And I will bet the ones with Master Looter will have all the guilds completing content, while the ones with Personal Loot will have a difficult time fielding enough guilds to do Heroic.

If there is, it’s misplaced and the person doing it has fundamental cognitive problems that in hindsight would be crippling to his ability to even play the game.

Regardless, it is unquestionably and unequivocally harder to get mat at someone who has no control over an outcome not going your way than someone who does. I’m frankly shocked and confused that it even need to be stated.

Would you get mad at your dog for a bird shattering your window?
From what we can gather from the forum posts, people are mostly mad at the game and that’s how it should be, the game has no feelings and doesn’t care.

And that type of guild was common. DKP where a thing, guild members where preferred over pugs. At least like this everyone has the same chance. Luck is a strange thing. I created this US account like mid BFA , and besides running old raid MC every week I can’t get hunter pieces to drop. Same luck applies to tier sets. I wish they have solid system where you can work towards tier set pieces, not like this upcoming system with creating them. System is great bout should be there from week 1

Do you not care why?

Do you not have your own opinion about what may be causing this?

I can tell you, from my experience, most people who want the Personal Loot system to stay the only system being used is because the personality type and mentality of the player is not one that has any willingness to for a group of like minded players to accomplish things with. Instead, its all about them, and how they can get theirs.

If the PUG players all got together and formed their own group, they would no longer be PUGS.

This entire argument is based on one side wanting to win and force the other side to play the way they want the game to run. Both systems can exist, but when they do, the Personal Loot players have such a lack of motivation to get things done, that they want the Master Looter players to suffer, regardless if their suffering is technically unwarranted. As long as the Personal Looter group is causing people to dislike the game, in any way, they feel like they have won.

In most of the guilds I’ve been a part of, if given the option DKP would be replaced by raidbots. The computer says it’s a bigger upgrade for the other mage over me, then the other mage gets it. That simple. If it’s within the margins of error, who is planned to be on the next prog boss.

IF anyone is selfish and “its all about me” then its your comment. Loot can be traded even now. I can think couple reason why master loot sucks, but can’t think of any reasons why personal loot would be bad.

I don’t like my luck to be controlled by another person.

Master Looter also enables you to deny loot that doesn’t upgrade the specific build you are running, even if its an item level upgrade. This allows for loot to be distributed to people who not only need it, but can use it more efficiently then you can.

I can play within the confines of either loot system just fine. All raid groups I have even belonged to wanted to down bosses regardless of loot distribution.

Yet, I am the selfish one.

(Expletive directed at you)

I got the Mythic skolex cape on the 1st kill. My unity is on a cape. I am now stuck with a cape that I want to trade, and will never use, but can’t.

Fair and balanced loot system with no issues, am I right.

Nah nah nah nah. We talked about this before. Use that cape to throw over a Vulpera and beat it to death so you can skin it. Make sure not to puncture the fur while beating or the fur is worth less money.

Replace vulpira with worgen and you got a deal.

Compromise and do one of each?

I like Worgen, but we are in so deep I kinda have to go with it.

You have my consent, sacrifice a Worgen.

Not even close, but ok.
