Like it was in legion. Funnily enough all the horror stories about na dloot counsels etc are from earlier expacs where PL wasn’t an option. They had the solution that suited the players then changed it to slow down progression.
I don’t think they even did it to slow down progression.
I legitimately think they thought that players trying to take the step from casual gaming to more organized raiding were confused by the different loot systems or something and that by consolidating all loot to just be PL the game would be simpler and better and trials would have more fun and more people would try out organized raids.
Blizzard knows they need to push people into joining guilds and that the pug world is trash and player retention in the pug world is trash.
Nobody stays subbed for a year to farm the same raid if they aren’t in a guild.
Regardless of their reasoning, the change failed. All it did was make the game slightly worse for people that preferred ML.
Masterlooting causes way more issues than fixes.
Blizzard should leave it how it is now. Guilds shouldn’t even have master looting because of nepotism and the guilds that funnel gear to certain classes just because they are OP for the patch. Everyone deserves a fair chance for gear and it’s the right thing.
Now it’s true that a person who joined a raid last second may get the drop everyone wanted but that’s just how it goes and Although it’s not a perfect system I believe it does it’s job well.
Blizzard please leave the current system
Its almost like in a game with million(s) of players different people enjoy different things.
While yes, your intentions are good and I totally appreciate that you do that, a number of then were Loot Dictators.
I’m the lowest geared person in our guild raids. If we had master looter back, I still would be (by choice as I’m an officer), because I don’t need the extra gear for progression. I’m still keeping up with people almost 10 iLev over me.
I also feel that DPS need gear well before healers do. Gearing the DPS faster means we get to clear more bosses which means more lewtz.
So many times I wish I could have traded gear that’s garbage for me but PL won’t let me just cause the iLev is higher. DEing sometimes BIS feels real trashy ._.
And thats a perspective that the PL only crowd just cant relate to. They dont care about the groups gear or progression just themselves individually.
Nah, they want to give away their drops to others. Every single one of them has been very careful to always use the example of giving gear to others to not appear greedy.
This thread still going cracks me up. I just think it’s funny when I see these raiders who overlook actual real problems with the game, but then spazz out and whine endlessly over something that doesn’t really matter to their ability to play the game.
No one in the history of the game has quit because of Master Loot. It’s such a fake issue. It’s goofy.
Ohh I have no doubts some good people exist and actually done that. The opposite is also true though and that is where the disconnects happens.
You can’t rely on peoples good nature, it’s naive at best. So good riddance and thankfully it’ll never come back.
Can’t you see they are at the pinnacle of altruism? We should ALL admire their superior benevolence /S
Worse than that, some of them actually argue that it would bring people back in significant number enough to improve the health of the game, no less… Magical thinking!
A feature with no gameplay implications, no effect on HOW your character is played or effect on your decision to which instance/dungeon your going to run and that is widely mistrusted will supposedly “save WoW” from the brink.
Except people that have been ripped off by it…
Seems like no one can agree on this one.
If you quit a video game because someone was mean to you and stole a virtual item then you have bigger problems then Masterloot as a function in game.
Well, I’ve never quit the game over Master Loot.
I find it funny that you try to trivialize “virtual items” while making a thread begging to be able to control said “virtual items”. Pretty sad pal.
Stop while you are behind.
Cause that’s the default for anyone who gets robbed via ML right? Just a bunch of whiners?
Your argument doesn’t exactly work.
Because I have no emotional investment into the topic, only a logical one for ease of gameplay with my friends.
At least try to think before saying dumb stuff.
Is that why you created this thread?
Grow up. Make better arguments than ones that blow up in your face and you won’t feel so embarrassed.
Sounds like a good way to justifiably burn anyone who isn’t in your group of friends.
No one has quit because of personal loot.
People have quit over master loot, regardless if you think the reason is valid.
