Agreed, PLNR is the best solution.
But hard disagree, I don’t believe anybody who doesn’t want to abuse the system in their favor thinks that PLNR is worse than ML. Except perhaps in the regard that rings, necks and cloaks need to drop a fair bit less frequently.
Also since Blizzard will never give us PLNR, asking for Guild Master Loot or Master Loot is the next best thing.
Why will they never give us PLNR? Because they don’t want the RWF to become even more degenerate. And that’s something I consider incredibly stupid from their behalf, designing their entire game around the 0.1%
Less items going to waste. My ele shaman will delete a high mastery low haste ring. Other classes would love a high mastery low haste ring. If my ele shaman can’t trade said ring, it will get sold to a vendor.
Higher chances for more impactful items and lower chances for less impactful items.
Rings and necklaces are generally low impact items, given how there’s no main stat on them. Those, as well as cloaks, drop a lot more often with PL compared to ML, given how they’re in everybodies loot table while items such as bows or agi daggers are only in one class / specs loot table.
Better gear progression for guilds who make good use of it. A disc priests 2 and 4 set bonus is the biggest pile of garbage in the world. A holy paladins 2 and 4 set bonus is incredibly strong. Giving the disc priest their 2 / 4 set bonus before the paladin is, from a guild progressions point of view, objectively wrong. With PL, we have no control over who gets what first. With ML, we do have a fair bit more control over it.
Can you supply a valid reason other than “people will get scammed” against ML?
And more importantly, can you supply a valid reason against PL without trade restrictions?
