Don’t want to see ML come back. I remember in WoD the listings were literally all “LFM H HFC everything remotely worthwhile on reserve”. Been loot griefed too many times by ninja’ing MLs, I appreciate the protections we have in the game now.

None of that is actually true. I have had discussions with people I have disagreed with on more than one occasion.

The difference is they were reasonable and respectful.

^ I mean the boot comment makes a good meme, but we all know that’s not the actual argument to reinstate a loot system that won’t affect PLers.

but it will effect PLAYERS. which is why they would have to do some changes to make it work. otherwise they would be inundated with loot tickets. Because people will abuse it, they did before enough that blizz had a policy about it.

ML won’t stay in Mythic raids, it will inevitably filter down into M+ etc.

You don’t need ML for the content you do.

Your whole comment wasn’t cohesive, but make no mistake, vanilla, tbc, wotlk was the golden age of wow, very much opposite the “dark ages”. But even knowing they were the best of times isn’t relevant to bringing back ML. People want ML. Bring back ML and if you’re not into ML, don’t join those guilds, it’s fine.

I will make it simple. ML allows for people to allocate loot as they see fit to. It was always open to being used unfairly. So many legendries were snapped up by RL and officers back in vanilla. I saw it with my own eyes.

And the sad thing is, PLNR can work just like ML with one caveat: The gear initially goes to a player first. The ML crew wants us to believe that ML groups would NEVER do anything to abuse the system, but the PLNR crew will always try to get away with “their” gear. They can’t seem to understand both sides are people and have their faults. I don’t know whether that’s irony, hypocrisy, or just flat out shady at this point

I have seen very few people pro ml who are against plnr with some modification to the drop chances of necks etc so we don’t get 4 necks per boss.

Are there some? Yes sure but most of us fans of ML wouldn’t mind modified plnr.

This kind of thing is why ML should never return. Guilds will always screw people over given the chance. No player should have say/control over the rewards of another player. Even 100% guilds have no business with that kind of control

The example there is a pug group though…

Lots of people want it. Lots and demonstrated by the survey linked in this thread lumtiple times.

That is no less of a valid reason that tier sets and pvp vendors and classic coming back. Albeit with unknown amounts of “lots” although it certain difficulties (mythic) it was the majority. Who it could be just enabled in mythic and guilds with ce the patch before. That would please the majority.

The reason for it to not come back are to slow down progression and so that the relatively tiny amount of horror stories don’t happen.

Then don’t join them and they sit in LFG not filling while other pugs fill and go kill bosses. Also all the ml supporters are asking for is ml in guild groups so they can’t do that anyway.

But what happens in legion when PL was an option too? Everyone has borrow stories for the early days but no one seems to have them for the most recent iteration of ML.
