I dont have to do anything. I am doing it out of respect for the people that are annoyed by it because its derailing a thread about something thats important to them.
Iâm going to start here since everything above either boils down to PL trading restrictions. The mentioning of the loot tables is a separate issue that really requires some mental gymnastics to connect to PL, and even if you manage to connect them, they are only situationally and remotely connected in terms of coincidence.
Now.
Arguments have been made against all versions of ML because it will absolutely be weaponized against players when the chance arises for it to be. Go take a stroll around classic if you need a referesher.
Not wanting split raids to be a thing is a bad reason for the very reason that splits still exist.
Also, letâs be real honest. It seems that the loudest ones calling for ML are people who are mythic raiding or at least claim to be. Iâm going to just flat out say that play time metrics donât matter to that crowd. They are going to play a lot regardless.
The very statement you made was indicative of the behaviors weâll see.
Fair enough, and the entire first part of this that I quoted is conjecture based as well. I still think that enough issues arose out of ML screwing people that blizzard took action.
I did, but a lot of the points Iâve made are likeâŠ1200 posts up. This thread devolved quickly into people who are advocating for ML demanding to see peopleâs achievements and ridiculing their arena accomplishments (or lack thereof.) my enthusiasm for engagement with this thread has waned because people are arguing in bad faith and/or being completely intellectually dishonest.
Good luck in your advocacy, I wish you the best but I absolutely hope you donât get your wish.
Your point where current wonât argue at all. Basically like you said itâs the same. Only thing I love PL over ML is the fact if you get the piece you get it. Raid leader canât say you have to give someone that live ce of gear, unless you need it. But with ML even if you win the roll there is high chance some âI need some for badlyâ meowing girl of RLâs friend will get it. Besides that itâs rng like you said.
I donât feel bad when someone gets something and doesnât want to trade even if he has no use for it. But I know the pain when RL gibes it to the new girl or some personal friend
They could still say it, doesnât mean the person will listen, but they could probably still say it.
This is bad practice coming into play which can still happen even with PL. The PL will probably give their gear to some meowing girl of RL friend over somebody who really needs it.
And, RNG for PL, as well.
And, thatâs the disconnect. Because you donât view it, as the same, whereas I do, to this scenario:
Youâre the kind of person whoâs going to argue that all government is corrupt, arenât you?
Oh, and news flash: algorithms can be just as corrupt. Theyâre written by people. That may not be the case in this instance, but you still have a lot of people complaining theyâre getting the short end of the stick, even with this impartial system.
Itâs the RWF crew they are going to do split runs, They are going to do degenerate things, They are all going to individually log like 90+ hours per week in the game during that time, We should not be basing anything around what they do and donât do.
