I leveled a Gnome warlock from scratch for heritage recently.
Picked up the staff quest in fire-lands, completed the questline and got my Staff.
Not sure why you think it canât be done still.
And +1 for ânoâ to mage tower being brought back.
Oh no, a minority group will be pissed off that more people will have the same thing that they and other people will have. /s
Thatâs just being pissed off that someone else got a banana after you got one. Sunken cost fallacy yadda yadda.
There is always going to be someone pissed off with a decision you make. What matters is the pros and cons.
if I gain a million subs, thats better than losing 10k in the process.
By no means am I saying those people donât matter, or that their feelings donât matter.
I am saying is that generally, adding more options is better than removing them. That no matter what you do as a business, someone will be upset.
But did the company say the banana was going away for good, never to come back? You ignore that little factâŚBlizz stated the MT appearances were going AWAY from day 1. They had 15 months. If the person selling the banana said they were going away after 15 months and never carried, its only the fault of whoever that they didnât but the banana. Is this simple concept of what blizz said being the main point there, not the reward appearanceâŚ?
Side note: Also a banana being there for 15 months isnât something anyone should buyâŚewwâŚ
That is where they got the notion Jared. Youâre not really helping your point when you then tell them that they are crying and call them entitled. Just pointing it out.
Iâve mentioned this little fact multiple times, including posts directly after yours and when you addressed someone else. LikeâŚcome on dude. I donât mind repeating myself when people miss something, but it does get tiring.
I am addressing the matter that people are using their emotions as justification for their view point which is a stupid one.
No one cares about your emotions because they are just as valid as anyone elses.
No one cares about your time investment because its just as valid for anyone else.
If Blizzard says, however, âwe wonât bring it back because its time limitedâ, then that is all that matters.
If they change their mind? Cool.
If they donât? Cool.
I donât believe anyone can honestly say they lose something if Blizzard brings it back.
Except many players got at least one artifact mage tower skin, some of us (like me) got nearly all of them (aside from healer skins because at the time I couldnât heal for beans until after I played FFXIV and a few dps skins).
This isnât a minority this is a majority of players.
Time sensitive things like Challenge Mode Dungeons from WoD and MoP, Pre-Patches (unless these Pre-Patches are re-done through Classic servers which is 100% acceptable) and Mage Towers shouldnât be re-opened. Just like WoD and MoP challenge dungeons arenât because even though towards the end they werenât difficult they were expressly said to be limited time content from day 1, plus advance notice of when they would be over was given and buffs were added so players could complete it with ease.
Now I do feel Old zones changed from Cata and dungeons removed/changed (or in UBRS case butchered) should be added back in the game with a Bronze Dragonflight representative to bring us back to them pre-changes (though in the case of zones changed by the Cataclysm should have mounts grounded). Where Blizzard has had the precedent that non-time limited content (challenge dungeons, pre-patch events, mage towers) could be farmed and completed at later dates. Removing these contradicted this precedent that was set in place (by all means Naxx was only moved to Northrend because the Nerubian raid wasnât finished in time for launch robbing us of still farming it to this day for the vanilla items).
Woah, hold up dude. We donât have any metrics to support this statement. I canât agree on this notion.
Let alone, in terms of minority, I mean in terms of people who would be made upset. Most people donât care, and some may even go âcool i can now get the stuff I didnt get.â.
Generally when you give someone more options, the response is a net positive rather than a negative.
If we go with the idea that most people only got one, theyâll usually interpret it as an opportunity to get more usually. Usually.
People do odd things.
I would implore you to finish reading my entire post, then making your comments heard than nitpicking just one line of text. As I go on to further explain my reasoning.
That wasnât directly at them thoughâŚthat was at everyone in general making these 'Bring MT back" posts, but hey can see where they think that at least.
But yes people do care about how they feel, and people buy with their emotions, and support with their emotions. Those companies that re-implimented or brought back their stuff after saying it was going away forever, those companies paid badly for it because of emotions.
as far as
Yes, people can. They lost the little trust they had left in blizz, saying something is going away for good, only for it to come back later. What pressure is there to EVER believe what they say about future stuff, creating a situation where if you cannot trust what a company says, all drives and effort they do in the future is moot.
You did imply I was crying about it. I donât have many problems with most posters however with you I have seen a disturbing trend time and time again. You enjoy belittling people, everyone who would dare disagree with you. I will ask you to no longer reply to any post I ever make from now on, in any thread.
