Irrelevant. You’re ignoring the point and misdirecting to something you implied but did not say. Point is that Blizzard has done worse, but you’re choosing this as the hill to die on.
I highly massively doubt you got every skin on every class. Rather than be able to unlock the ones you didn’t get to do, you would rather not so that others cannot have what you have right now. You’d rather have less so they can’t have anything.
The content was not particularly hard when it was current, we could outgear it and smoke it on most DPS fights. Only a handful, Blood DK, Frost Mage, etc were really difficult even with gear. The skins don’t reflect skill, they reflect that you paid $15 a month to play in Legion.
I mean it’s pretty inconsistent , i don’t think me getting invicinble or a’lar diminishes the accomplishment of people who got them back in the day so it shouldn’t be different for mt skins
But this fear of missing out works pretty well for blizzard , you have a lot of folks that support it , so what are you gonna do

No, the point is that you are advocating for them to lie even more than they already have.
Bring back a similar challenge and offer recolors of the skins for mage tower and I’ll be perfectly happy. Some of those skins are awesome and some form of them should be available to new players. Just not the exact ones that were exclusive.
While we’re at it lets bring back every elite pvp set ever in the game and remove the rating requirements for them so we can all enjoy buying them for just marks of honour as it should be. There’s literally zero argument against this apart from a couple selfish people spouting “muh exclusives” which have no place in an MMO environment.
Mage Tower rewards, no. But having the content there would be fine, i was sad back in Legion when I completed it and I couldn’t run it again just for fun.
But no, the rewards should not come back. Blizzard detailed them as limited, they warned us from the start they were, they should uphold that.

I’m advocating for them to bring something back and give players who were not around an opportunity to prove themselves and earn a nice looking weapon.
Need I remind you that they originally planned to remove a color of one weapon but later went back on that decision? They certainly lied then.
The example I like using is Kruul Phase 1 (Variss) and Kruul’s 3rd and further Annihilates: without Rage of the Sleeper and Adaptive fur, a Guardian druid probably wouldn’t even get to see P2 of that fight.
Yeah, the encounters were not finely tuned. Some specs have changed DRAMATICALLY though. Prot paladin is not that much far off from its Legion iteration, but Guardian definitely is, and prot warrior in SL seems like is getting their teeth filed down, so they too would struggle with a ‘scale by numbers’.
(Edit: I only mention guardian and both prot because most of the time these requests come up, it’s for werebear or flails. If you didn’t get sparkle kitty back then, if you weren’t playing it’s one thing, but sparkle kitty was a freebie)
Or, or you can participate when the event is current like you’re supposed to.
Unless you’re new, of course, and then you need to make sure to participate in any future events.

I agree with most of this. IMO they should reform the PvP rewards system. Add a vendor that sells the elite sets and a seasonal achievement that gives you a token to buy them. Ta-da.
Exclusives are a good thing. It gives incentive for people to do content. The mage tower was a huge success, mostly because the appearances were going away. If everyone knew they could wait a couple months and get it for 0 effort, it wouldn’t have been anywhere near as popular.

I never did the mage tower at the end of legion when I came back. I saw the notice they were limited.
Ok thats my background sooooo… no don’t bring them back. Not in any other form. It just homogenizes the game experiencece. They aren’t special when everyone sitting in the org AH has the same thing.
Thunderfury is still cool because it is semi rare. Warglaives of azinoth same thing. People need to except some stuff in an mmo is hard to get or limited. That is part of the charm of an mmo.
Whats next give everyone the little Diablo pet and other blizzcon exclusives? Maybe give everyone the the black qiraji warrant even though it is supposed to be 1 per server from vanilla days?
If you weren’t around for/able to get the time-limited thing, you don’t get that thing. Make sure to get the next time-limited thing so you don’t feel left out.
I second this: I went out and put a lot of effort into it because it was going away. Had there been no time limit, I wouldn’t have.
Exclusivity is fine in small quantities. The Mage Tower is a good example of exclusivity; Ordos is a really bad example of exclusivity.
It would be nice if they brought back mage tower and made it a seasonal event like mythic+, raids and rated PvP. But they shouldn’t bring back old mogs, it should be new ones each season and they should tweak each season to be different than the previous ones.

as long as when we bring back mage tower, we also bring back all the challenge mode sets/weapons, and all the elite pvp sets.
then sure, I’m all for it. cause I mean if were going for being “inclusive” then let’s go all-in and be inclusive… not just cherry pick the ones we want.

I don’t know how you can call something a success if people only did it to gain bragging rights and the ability to flex on those who didn’t.
All the Mage Tower did for me was make me not want to play a Druid because I didn’t have one back then and couldn’t get the skins, which were not hard to get.
It was a success. It was an achievable goal for everyone with a nice reward. Also it’s one of the few achievements that you couldn’t just buy a carry for. It’s not about flexing rewards that people can’t get anymore, it’s about setting a goal and achieving it.
