Bring back Joyous Journeys buff ONLY for Vanilla Classic and TBC Content

I know people may not like this idea, but the buff did feel nice, and only having it for Vanilla WOW and TBC content felt good and made the game pretty relaxing. I may be one of the few who do this, but I would like to have every class 80 in the near future. I always wanted to pick and choose which class I wanted to play and what I wanted to do. Let the Heirloom gear XP buffs only work from 70-80 and I think many wouldn’t mind this buff working like this. If you are for this or against this, reply below. I’m not trying to completely overhaul the game, I just want to be able to get to 80 on my alts in a reasonable manner of time, since as I had to reroll multiple alts because of having to server xfer and not having enough money to xfer every one of them, that is my reasoning for making this post. Anyways, I hope everyone is having a fun time in Wrath, and I’ll catch you guys in game (if you’re on Benediction that is). Also, let me know if you would like it if the buff was available for the 70-80 grind. Also, this will help people who aren’t level 80, who don’t have access to heirlooms to get the 50 % xp buff as well. Please reply to this thread and make your voices heard. They do see these messages, so let them see you want this buff back!

Sincerely,
Xeldor Benediction 70 Warlock

I have 9 alts I intend to level, 5 being level 70, 3 level 60, and 1 level 40. I’m also going to level 2-3 twinks, ranging between level 19-39 as well.

I can play every day, for 8-10 hours a day, I’m currently disabled IRL.

P.S.
When you post, Let us know the amount of time a day you can play wow for (after your 80 grind of course). Also, tell us how many ALTS you have, and plan to level.

They did. It’s called Heirloom gear.

Heirloom gear should be removed.

Maxium, I hear what you are saying about heirloom gear, and true it is in the game. Thing is, since the time table between expansions is a lot quicker (especially since we clear content the first day it comes out) that it won’t be that long of a time until they release the next expansion, I doubt I’ll have a lot of time to get every alt 80 and be able to do what I’d like to with my main, leaving me to choose “focus on one main, or focus on alts.” Thats my logic anyway.

Hxn,
There is a problem with this because some Heirloom gear is used for PVP, and changes would have to be made if they removed it. I think Heirloom gear isn’t necessary, and it takes dungeon grinding for PVP gear and makes it less important.

Peeps are going to come and spout all kinds of reasons why the JJ buff shouldn’t return and chief among them will be because the original version of the game didn’t have it.
But these same people fail to realize that the commitment and investment that we had in the original game was very different. No matter how much time you invest in your character with classic, the game has a more finite life span. And it’s much much more short lived than retail. It’s hard to get the same attachment when you know this will likely be the last expansion before, at the very least, it all resets again. Maybe there will be one more. But then what?
Getting to the content that you enjoyed faster just seems like a good thing to want.

Blessica, the first thing I’d tell the nay sayers about the JJ shouldn’t return would be "Do you work in the real world? Not many people have a huge amount of time to spend in game grinding endlessly for hours trying to get heirloom gear, when they could be grinding in Vanilla wow or TBC. In my case, it will be hard to get all my alts geared up to 80 before the xpac and be able to really enjoy them, especially with my issue where I’ve had to regrind characters, the JJ buff got me to where most of my characters are within 20 levels of getting 80. I have a 80 lock, mage, shaman, warrior, and priest, and I have a 60 hunter, paladin, and druid. My remaining low level is 40. If you add on top of that if I want to twink on other characters, that’s more characters to grind up to 19-39 level and spend hours grinding gear to be able to pvp. It becomes more clear if you view it in that angle.

Heirloom gives 50% buff? And what’s the price lol.

The price is playing the game.

Maxium, how much time do you put into this game a day?

During fresh content? 10+

A few weeks after content is released, probably 3 days a week (4 hours per day) for raiding and I play other games during that time.

Do you play alts in classic? I’m just curious. Man I wish I could login right now. 12k queues+

Yeah. I have 9 other alts at level 70.

Unless Blizzard randomly changes it, they gives 30% and you have to spam heroics for badges. Too many useless trolls on here can’t even get a simple response

Requires you to be into Wrath already so it’s not going to help the people who are actually asking for JJ to return right now.

Honestly they already tossed an exp buff onto SoM from the start so screw it, in the name of getting late joiners to Wrath faster bring it back.

Oh, I never thought about the new players or players starting fresh who need that boost. That’s a good point.

I get to play an hour or two a day, so after a couple weeks I got my priest to level 28. I guess I am supposed to buy the boost if I wish to play wrath before Ulduar.

Unfortunately, probably so. At an hour or two a day even 70-80 is going to take forever, excluding everything else. That really sucks :frowning:

Man that sucks dude, they really need to bring back joyous journeys man. I’m hoping more people reply.
