I agree, needing to get to a transmog stinker every time I get a new helmet can be quite annoying. Additionally, I am a fan of the “mog the slot, not the item” idea for the same reason.

I don’t believe they can with the code changes for transmog. But there are portable transmog options, so it’s very easy to change now.

It would be nice if they had a way to “lock” a slots appearance to a preselected appearance.

I feel that having a mount.you can use anywhere, cities with transmog and portable machines for everyone of every level is great. But if this is the straw for you, then so be it. No one is married to WoW.

I honestly wouldn’t mind this. They could have the option available in the interface like it used to be and at the transmogrifier as well.
It’s nice to be able to hide your helmet on the fly instead of waiting until you can get to a transmog if you don’t have one of the mounts.

It really isn’t that large of an issue considering how quickly you learn the basic riding skill, this unfortunately only really affects neutral or low-level characters so likely won’t see attention. Though I do agree it should be a thing for both.

In case this is helpful, I just learned not too long ago that these exist. Was helpful for lowbies who didn’t have heirlooms and couldn’t mount. I gave out a bunch of them to new players a few weeks back.

Idk they have claimed code issue before then show they can make the changes…also the hide helmet was free no gold cost and it didn’t need transmoging it applied even when you put a new helmet on I think??? Been so long…

It’s still free. But yes, it was a permanent toggle. And I get the desire for it. I hated it being removed too. I was just giving options for how they made it easier, since I doubt they’ll change this.

Yeah. Its something that maybe they coulda added into transmog maybe “lock” certian slots to remain until toggled off could be a future addition? :3
