Won’t happen, Bilbo. Best off you stick with LOTRO where they do have that on most servers.

They gave people the option to transfer to Grobbulus if they still wanted WPvP. Surprise, nobody went.

It’s not a need for wpvp. It’s a need for a real life loser who hit max level and is not good enough to do anything else in the game and nobody wants him for anything to be able to attack and stop people from trying to level and enjoy the game.

I did. It wasn’t my ideal choice, but it was the only remaining PVP server. While Blizzard developers made a deliberate choice to with what they did, the playerbase, for the most part, or at least the 10% or so that remain playing MoP are complicit.

Calling someone names for enjoying something you do not, rather than just enjoying your own thing is not particularly becoming.

Something tells me you wouldn’t have lasted a day in Vanilla.

Why, we all left to Nightslayer TBC anyway

Plenty people did, they still kept 3 layers and it killed world pvp so we all left to TBC

Okay for you and Snipy up there.

Yes, people transferred to Grobbulus.

Unfortunately, Grobbulus had already LOST the overwhelming majority of it’s population as even the mostly PvE players and guilds had started leaving the server in Cata.

There isn’t enough of a PvP population on Classic Progression to begin with. The bulk of those who remain care about arena and not WPvP. Guess where all the arena players went.

I transferred most of my characters (I couldn’t bring myself to transfer Snipy off of Faerlina, even though I can’t seem to select the Classic progression level 90 version for the forums) to Grobb, but I also stopped playing MoP. So, I suppose that latter part is noteworthy.

A fresh MoP PvP server could be neat! But let’s be honest, MoP is the furthest thing from their minds today.

I doubt if PvP is their top priority in any version of the game. Nor should it be.

PvP players are generally a respectable but smallish percentage of the player-base in established MMOs other than those that are focused on PvP. They get a disproportionate share of attention because they spend more per-capita in the store (as do raiders). But WoW relies on subscriptions and sales of mounts and pets and cosmetics not on sale of the pay-to-win items that other games use to rake in money from raiders and PvP players.

Okay buddy

You do know about the competitions they hold for PvP, right?

You do know how to read, right? I said it was not their TOP priority.

Nothing associated with Classic is their top priority.

Entirely agreed.

PVP players are some of the most toxis players in any game. WPVP is mostly just griefing low level players

That’s a lie, people went, it’s just they decided to Layer the F out of the game at the same time so it made it feel freaking EMPTY AF… We had more WPVP before all the layering, then they allowed the Transfer but then pathed all that layering crap in, so we had more people but the game FELT MORE EMPTY…

Get our story straight.

What’s left of this company and the TWO individuals in charge of Blizzard and WOW look like they should be serving people starbucks, not running these games. Which is probably the NUMBER 1 reason why all versions SUCK so much now.

Although I disagree, there’s definitely enough toxic behavior that bites the whole community in the bum. Ultimately WPvP lost…they made people not want to play, turning some servers into single factions and causing mass flights in others. Maybe not every PvP player is toxic, but there were enough toxic players to ruin it for everyone. Maybe PvP players could have kept Grob alive if they had embraced, or at least respected, the RP-side of things, instead of trying to make Grob all about PvP like they were accustomed to on every other (failed) PvP server.
Grob was RP-PvP. Anyone who wanted to force Grob to be a PvP-focused server doesn’t deserve Grob back.

OG Grob in classic 19 was great. You just mostly played the game and PVP occured.. by the time TBC and much more in WOTLK it became much more about not having big PVP events and more about how can we get 40 people in the daily area to grief everyone. Then you got into who can doxx who garbage.. yeah.. it smoked the server.
