Bring back glad stance in dragonflight

I would love glad stance personally, or even better, let us mog a shield in as Fury or arms.

I do enjoying tanking, mainly with friends, so I don’t mind needing to play Prot to be a sword and board warrior, but what I really want is the option to be a DPS with a sword and shield, I don’t expect them to make a new class or spec based around it but I would love the option to have more freedom with my transmog choices. There is a reason Holy Pally is one of my favorite specs in the game.

It’s a shame so few games let us use a 1h + shield in anything other than a tank role in modern game. They tend to force us to use really bad and unrealistic options that would more than likely get our characters killed in an instant if it was not a game.

Tanks and DPS. I have tanked since Vanilla Beta WoW. All Tanks should have the ability the give up one thing to be able to dps in their tank spec. Warriors had the famous Gladiator stance. Which was perfect you take away some Stamina, Defense and Threat and give Strength/Agility, Crit and Haste.

DPS get use to a rotation and so do Tanks. Yet if a Tank wants to help DPS or que up as DPS but still gear up as a Tank but isn’t ready to tank yet for whatever reason. Maybe it’s their first time in the instants or they are just tired of being blamed for anything that goes wrong. Or they want to pvp and actually get beyond the bottom of the dps charts. Their is no reason a Bear can’t DPS or a Shield and Sword can’t hurt you.

Now this isn’t just for Tanks. I think Healers should also be able to give things up to dps. Make Fist Weaving a thing. Do the same with all the healer specs. Offer a path to dps.

My ultimate change would be giving everyone a 3rd or 4th spec.

Mages Healing spec use a new magic. Life tap and transfer.
Hunter Tank spec using pets to tank.
Shaman Tank spec using Earth/Stone as armor
Rogue Tank spec utilizing Dodge and posion armor.
Warlock Tank combine with a demon.
Priest Tank spec using Demons and/or Holy Shields or Life Stealing shields.
Evoker Tank because they are dragons so yeah.

Warrior DPS Gladiator
Druid already good
Monk Drunken Tank spec.
Death Knight Blood health stealing life tap.
Demon Hunter Shield and Spear maybe as second tank spec?
Paladin allow Holy to give up some healing for DPS.

I… I honestly can’t get behind some of those extra spec ideas… But there is a game that is basically a heavily HEAVILY modifed WoW that I goofed off with several years ago… It was basically a wow with insane multiclass capabilities… like Skyrim. I made these–

A tank character that was basically a Dark Apotheosis Warlock (Kudos if you remember this fun thing) that had alot of cooldown reduction to keep Meta up nearly fulltime, It was more like a Demon Hunter with alot less physical moves and more spell casts, including an AOE drain life.

A tank hunter where you applied marks to targets you want your pet to hold. On big pulls you had to tank some also or your pet was overwhelmed. You also called more pets in to help with cooldowns (It was literally Rexxar. Instead of traps in the hunter toolkit, it held several bleeds and high dodge/parry, the bleeds could assist in self-healing.)

I also made a completely new concept to Gladiator spec warriors Some prot warrior… Paladins avengers shield… And a couple Combat rogue toys…but, it rocked rage AND combo points.

AS FAR AS EVOKER TANKS GO… There is ABSOLUTELY no reason why they could not figure this out… You worked Bronze+Green into healing and support, and Azure+Ruby into Damage… There is so much potential missing with that possible tank spec. You coule keep it like a spell caster and use spells for bubbles, self heals and time shenanigans, use fire damage in a similiar fashion to brewmaster and vengeance DH’s, obsidian spells and abilities being all about defense rotations and short-term cooldowns… You even have dracthyr (and the bigger guys…drakonid?) holding polearms and shields together, all hoplite style.
