That is a very selfish view, most people would want to move on to TBC then Wrath.
There would have been uproar if the service was given away free by all of us who paid for it.
I meant blizzard should have given everyone both versions from the start before people had to pay for it

How do you know what ‘’ most people ‘’ would want or do when it comes to moving on to tbc or wrath classic ?. speaking for MYSELF here ?, i made a toon on classic simply because i was tired of how retail got so messed up. you nor me, have no idea what ‘’ most ‘’ people wanted to do when it came to where we, i, or them wanted to play ?. you can say what YOU think ?, but you honestly can not sit there and say what ‘’ most ‘’ wanted, unless you have a magic crystal ball or a prophet of some sort ?. now you are just grasping at straws is what i see. I do agree, the paying folks would get bent if other players got clones for free, who wouldn’t ?..lol.

I dunno, maybe because Era died the day TBC launched? It was pretty obvious what everyone wanted to play.

Well, that’s how it was back in 2007-2008, most would expect it to be the same. And to be honest, less people play Era than Wrath.
If people wanted to move to Era they would have chosen it.

No thanks. The reason Classic Era is even thriving is because of fresh characters. Do you think they’d have the numbers to do dungeons with if the entire playerbase was made up out of 60s in AQ/Naxx gear? While it may suck to lose your characters, you did have your chance to clone them. Now you have your chance to contribute to the health of a server that’s not just about end game. Letting people inject thousands of 60s would not be healthy for the future of era.

This has always been untrue. Everybody having lvl 60 characters never resulted in a dearth of dungeon groups and healthy realm support. At some point, people are raid logging their 60s and leveling alts with the majority of their meantime.

I have asked in CS for them to get someone to reply here but nothing yet, and that was well over a month ago, I even asked in a ticket and all I got was the support article copy and pasted into it. This one:
