It’s super annoying
No, BFA S1 was somewhere between 6-7%…bringing it well below old duelist, nearly to rival range.
EDIT: Necro…
Doritotko, the people’s man
it was around 0.6%
just look at the numbers before spitting nonsense so you dont look like a retard
I don’t understand, what’s so annoying about it?
what can i say
Everything
uhhhhhhhhhh
ok how about this metric
there were more dread proto drakes than the entirety of wod and legion’s seasonal gladiator rewards (and probably parts of MOP, but it’s been so long since i’ve cared about this argument since blizzard doesn’t so it won’t change) that i can’t remember the specificity of the cutoff, but I know for certain WOD and legion.
that’s at least 10 seasons for those counting at home
and there’s no way u can tell me that dread season’s participation was so tremendous that 0.6% of the ladder receiving dread proto drakes caused that to happen because arena participation has been on a steady decline since… WOTLK?
edit: i also see now that it’s your only glad title so i too would go around telling people such things to make myself feel better too if that were the case
This game sucks bro why u guys fighting
Arguing is more fun than playing the game
Actually no, you’re flat out wrong. I have no idea who you are, but if anyone here is retarded it’s you bud. I know for a FACT that it was lower than duelist would have been, which has been top 3%. Check your facts/numbers before you spew your bs.
When you think legion glad is even better rofl… the cycle never ends with every expac just waiting for bfa glads to rip on the next expac glads thinking they’re more superior
can you show the numbers for that? cuz i think kydrav calculated it towards the end of the season and it was close to .5%
Percentage based Gladiator would be a terrible change considering how dead the ladder is, there’s a reason it was changed to being static.
Opposite. If you aren’t going for r1 and you already hit glad you lose incentive to play.
Makes the 2 week warning way less exciting and affects the overall ladder eco system when the duelists don’t feed the glads and the glad’s don’t feed the r1s.
When the end of the season is just people trying to get r1 on their alts vs other r1’s on their alts everyone else in the game is just left out which hurts queue incentive, queue variety and raises barrier to entry for newer people to ever get established in the scene.
it was as dumb of a change as split faction titles.
Nice necro thread.
There were 336 R1 spots at the end of BFA season #1, which means around 336,000 people on the ladder. At the end of the season 3618 players were at or above 2400.
Assuming everyone at 2400 or above got glad (some might not have gotten the 50 wins, also some might have gotten glad then tanked, hard to say), the at the end of the season 1.08% of people were at “glad range” of 2400+
So traditionally 0.5% would get the glad title and mount. BFA season one had about twice that number, or the top 1.0% getting the awards.
I would happily give out roughly twice the mounts and titles if it meant every season was as active as BFA season 1.
I think our current decline in participation goes way beyond the current state of titles.
The complete lack of pvp support / changes, the pve grind for alts, and the damp meta all contribute to one of the worst metas in history.
this game hella petty
it was 1.1% in S1 I believe, there was a post that actually did the math for it and by all accounts it was fairly accurate. That may be a lot more than the old 0.5%, but that’s nothing compared to your 7% number. Keep in mind that S1 of BFA had insane participation numbers compared to what we’d expect in previous expansions due to the massive number of people inspired by the glad/title change/simplification. Then someone correct me if I’m wrong on this, but I believe it was about 0.6% in S2.
Yea and to top it off those numbers are also assuming everyone over 2400 got it like hog said. So realistically it’s prolly even a bit lower than that even tho I’m sure a few people got their glad then tanked, there are far less of those people than people who got above 2.4 and didn’t get glad
hooah yurrpp
