The proof is in the pudding…retail had 1 mil subs, classic added 3 million…
I dont know how much the cash shop stuff effects the money made between the two…but by the subscription numbers, classic wins

That was Blizzard being lazy. It would have required extra work to change it back to the Vanilla system totally. It wasn’t done because they just wanted to have the modern system.
As far as i know blizzard hasnt released any information that backs up the numbers you just stated.
There’s also no need to besides absolute authenticity. The Vanilla mail system is absolutely worse in every regard.
Then you dont know much
Or your pulling numbers from thin air.
So if absolute authenticity isn’t that important and the new auction house is much better than the old one and it’s already built…why not switch?
Or, like I said…you dont know much…
Next time before you post, maybe have some actual research?
I haven’t seen the new AH but adding simple things that Addons already accomplish such as filter and pricing into the Blizzard UI isn’t game or immersion breaking. It’s A-OK in my book.
It also was stated it had little to no impact and wasn’t detrimental to the Vanilla experience. Im not sure that could be said about the AH change.
Not sure why it wouldn’t be the case.
Haha

Wait…

You were serious weren’t you?

Forst off, those are percentages. You could say 10k subs and it jumped to 30k.
Second Blizzard hasnt released any actual data that shows sub count. Only revenue information. This also doesnt take in to account the people that bought a 1 month sub to try out classic as well as the cash shops contribution.
So please, stop pretending to have any real information.
If an outdated AH system is enough to make you question playing Classic, you may want to reanalyze your priorities. Just play retail if you prefer it, it’s as simple as that given that two versions of the game share the same subscription.
I look at it like this. If I were someone that played Vanilla would I notice the difference immediately upon using the AH? The answer would definitely be yes.
Would I notice the difference in mail? Maybe, but I’m guessing much less so than people would notice the AH.
The degree of change does matter with this stuff.
Wouldn’t take long to see how superior it is. Would people unsub due to the AH no longer sorting items by bid price? Must be truly masochistic if they did.
Not to mention the removal of single stack auctions. Commodities market is amazing.
There is no “but.” You are either for no changes, or you aren’t.
I just gave you a news article backing up my claim… do you have any actual ANYTHING to refute it?
I know math is hard…but subscriptions are a set amount of money…so if subscriptions revenue triples…it directly correlates with the amount of subs…
A + B = C … for C to raise in value… either A or B also needs to raise in value…
and they didn’t change the price of a sub.
Keep trying though… it is amusing.
Classic isn’t about using the superior system, and there is a heck of a lot more to the changes than just bid price not being the way things are sorted.
I fail to see how this isn’t a huge improvement.
Blizzard really should have just implemented it when they did so for retail.
