It was on Twitter that Brian Birmingham confirmed we will be getting PrePatch on August 15th week, which is 6 weeks before the release.
I am so hyped. Will be doing lot of heroic MGTs, and TBC raids all week now.

He absolutely did not confirm a 6 week prepatch. Like not at all.
When we are 6 weeks away, you can expect it within a month of the 15th. English might be your second language so ill forgive you. The tweet is written a bit informally.

All he’s saying in those tweets is that when wotlk is 6 weeks away then the prepatch can be launched anytime from there to a month later (i.e. saying prepatch will be 2-6 weeks long); none of which is new information.

Considering it’s just hit PTR…it will be on PTR for atleast couple weeks.

Nah. I’ll keep thinking that the prepatch is 6 weeks before the WOTLK Classic. Considering PTR has Prepatch now, it’s only matter of time they’ll add it in soon. We are still 2 weeks away from the said date.

Even if it releases in 2 weeks doesnt mean you are right with brian confirming anything. Because he did not.
I’d put my guess at 2 weeks prior to wrath launch. Follow classic and TBCC classic

I mean, if you are just wanting to prevent people from wanting Pre-Patch from coming early, I can see that you’d say that I am being delusional and that it isn’t confirmed at all.
Or people like myself who’d rather want Pre-Patch to come in really early and actually sweep it through TBC raids and heroics so I can get easy loots without being gated by hardcore TBC raiders in full populated server who dont have to watch their members quitting due to frustrations not clearing SWP or even BT. But people like myself who is in a medium populated server and don’t have enough people to clear the content firmly would prefer pre-patch to come in ASAP. That’s not being delusional at all, nor I am saying it wouldn’t happen besides expect it 2 weeks prior.
I still think it’ll come out around mid August, if anything. It’s a grain of salt.
Unless we hear of arena season ending today I’d say 23rd at the earliest.
