Brewmaster Monk weapon

I am presently trying to grind heirlooms to give my Monk as soon as it is available. I just wanna know which one I should give him.

I don’t think we get the Agi Staff in MoP so someone might have to correct me if we do, but you’re only real option is dual agi maces and swords.

The agility staff is added in Pandaria, but before then one handers are the only option

The one handers are the better option anyway since you can put two enchants on them

Wowhead says it was added in 6.1.0 though. Wowhead is wrong again.

Not exactly, the heirloom system was reworked in Warlords so the heirlooms probably got new item IDs. It has an entry on wowhead classic though with comments dating back to around OG Pandaria prepatch, and the wiki says it was added in 5.0 and then reworked in 6.1

Two one-handers it is then.

The two handed agi staff Burnished Warden Staff was added in Mist of Pandaria pre-patch. So it will likely be available for purchase on Tuesday.

You could get the agi 2h…but probably better getting 2x-6x 1h maces right now, and putting the justice points to would have spent on the staff towards upgrading your current heirlooms.

As for multiple sets of the 1h maces:

Set 1 enchant avalanche super strong for early levels

Set 2 I think it was mending (heal proc chance on hit) in keeping a set with this enchant for brew, so I can solo carry dungeons

Set 3 is mongoose best leveling enchant after clearing avalanche early levels

Beyond that, you don’t actually need to upgrade your heirloom weapons as there are better boes you can buy later.

  • Archeology 1h axes in the early 70s
  • Bertos staff in the late 70s (Cata ilvl weapon)
  • There’s a blue 1h mace boe around 71 or something
  • There’s blue ilvl333 fist that will be basically carry you into whatever you do at level cap
  • be sure to do ahune and the theramore scenario for a chance at quick weapons/gear.

The agi staff is in mop beta rn.
