I think if you wanna keep dodge make it like the old elusive brew where it was an on use thing that youd stack up and choose when you want a lot more dodge. Basically like pressing evasion. You could easily make a talent that allows this to work on spells or just give a flat DR on spells similar to elusiveness from rogues, this would also lean into the brewmaster fantasy

Or Change BoC PB from pausing a already low stagger damage due to having purified, change BoC PB into have a give dodge and magic DR, the more that’s purified the more dodge % and the higher magic DR

I love having to go through a 22 step opener in dungeons only to get half way through it and not have enough threat generation so you have to cut corners in your rotation just so the Ret pally or HDH don’t take all the aggro.

Haste reducing bok could get awkward. It’s nice right now that’s it’s always 3 GCD between bok. But there’s no reason bok’s damage can’t scale with haste or something.

I would like to see Nizuao do something.

Because right now, he does less damage than he did in Shadowlands.

Listening to other complain about pets and how buggy they are, I’m glad Nizuao is not worth taking. Imo, it would be reworked to be a player buff not a pet.

Shuffle needs to go.

It’s not even a “maintenance buff” like Ironfur, which at least has some levels of strategy and pooling.

Why’s it even there? Because they didn’t think Brewmaster had enough bloat?

Can we give Prot Paladins a passive that cuts their armor in half for no good reason? It would be the same thing.

“Your armor is cut in half if you haven’t cast Avenger’s Shield recently.” Blizzard would NEVER think of sticking such a nonsense passive on Paladins. But with Brewmasters it’s open season.

On the lower end of the skill spectrum I think there’s problems still too Equinox. Obviously, I am not playing with the same caliber of monks as you, and it shows often egregiously so. The class has a decently high skill ceiling, and floor vs other tanks still. It usually leads to sweatfests on my part trying to keep them alive as they fumble what I feel is an overly complex kit. Great for people who like it, not as great for people who aren’t familiar with the nuance to the same degree (and I’d argue that’s most people, myself included).

On my part, the things I always felt like I needed were a couple less cooldowns, and a single stronger one. Weapons of order felt like junk compared to wings, avatar, meta, rage of the sleeper, and even incarnation because of the build time. Exploding keg being throw in the mix didn’t help, and it was just a ground target I either had to micro or macro.

Going for some of the passive options didn’t really do much for the skill floor. Just from the little bit of side tanking I’ve done on brew this expansion hasn’t improved it much, but I’m not touching it in keys this time around after testing a bit.

Weapons of Order was a bad ability in Shadowlands, and it’s a bad ability, now.

Brewmaster feels like a collection of abilities that were rejected for other classes. From Weapons of Order and Shuffle to Clash and Ox Stance.

Monk parsed 94 with 1.176m dps
War parsed 66 with 1.179m dps

Hi, underdogs shouldn’t fight each other. We should band together against the tyrany of VDH and prot pally. VDH is the best tank with mediocre dmg. 60+% of tanks in 12+ are VDHs and the number is still rising.

Shuffle is fine, only time it isn’t fine only occurs in high end keys when you’re kiting and it drops, but that’s more of you issue for not noticing or not setting up a buff tracker.

lets put it this way for everyone i took my VDH alt to do the weekly and some fun i was doing damage almost equal to a dps classes every pull with and ilvl of 621 and that was against dps that was 630. did the same things with a 630 brewmaster did 600k dps on mobs 1k if i was reallly Really lucky with a random proc to keep aggro. and single target 300-400k dps. VDH dps single target was 700k. which class would you all take the VDH or the brewmaster to a mythic key or raid. Lets see where the numbers are at. Blizzard refuses to buff us or change the class to be equal with the best SO IMO lets all go play meta. sorry for the rant just tired of not getting picked for keys anymore.
