Brewmaster if fighting for lowest damage tank, lowest self sustain tank, and lowest group utility tank⌠all while being one of the hardest tanks to play.
If they are going to leave Brew as is then it (along with Prot war) need to be very high damage.
Sometimes theyâll give an ability extra damage from a tier bonus then nerf that same abilities baseline as a little treat.
Iâm kind of happy to see monks unifying around brewmaster. I just benched mine at the start of the season cuz Iâd rather play a more self sufficient tank in pugs.

Itâs wild that I almost never use spin anymore. Feels pretty weird.
Its strange that WW and MW have far less use of spinning crane kick as well. One of THE monk things and its getting less and less use for monks.

Brewmaster Monk has been permanently retired and replaced with Brann Bronzebeard (Tank). After receiving more updates than Brewmaster in the last year, Brann is now the premier tanking specialization.
New Abilities:
Expedition Funding (Passive): Every 10 sec, receive a hotfix that buffs your defenses while nerfing Brewmasters out of habit.
Vault Entry Denied: When struck by a fatal attack, Brann stuns enemies with an unskippable lore monologue.

I Just think a simple fix to mastery can fix most issues the spec has.
Mastery Increases attack power by x%
Mastery reduces damage you take from staggerred damage by X%
Mastery retaliates x% of cleared stagger from purifying brew in an aoe around you reduces beyond 8
Also please change tiger palm, im sick of spamming it. Please just remove the talent Facepalm and make BOK combo so RSK deal 25% damage in an AOE.

buffing baseline tiger palm and removing the variance talents would be great, also making RSK cleave by default just seems obvious. old hot trub being part of our mastery would be interesting
Personally i think blizzard needs to nerf stagger in single target for raids. Like i didnt use any defensive until Mythic kyveza or Mythic queen.
If they nerf stagger effectiveness in single target its opens up the window of making stagger scale in aoe. the tier set from DF S3 had a wonderful idea of building a shield against stagger by dealing damage, we could have that in our mastery. So mastery would allow our keg smask RSK and BOK build a stagger shield.
So in an aoe situation we have increased stagger effectiveness which means we have more stagger to clear, our damage from aoe keg smash and bok is building a shield against it to smoothen out damage at high stagger levels + we would have PB charges to send on high stagger when at low health. this adds an element of having a good dps rotation but still watching out for health and using PB to clear stagger and Heal through galpins.

Also I think dodge just needs to be removed as a brewmaster identity or they need to make it so we can also dodge damage from stagger. Because sometimes u dodge everything but the thing you need to dodge and end up using PB charges back to back
I think if you wanna keep dodge make it like the old elusive brew where it was an on use thing that youd stack up and choose when you want a lot more dodge. Basically like pressing evasion. You could easily make a talent that allows this to work on spells or just give a flat DR on spells similar to elusiveness from rogues, this would also lean into the brewmaster fantasy
No one has mentioned that Dave has 4 talent points dedicated just to him and he isnât great even with all those talents. Then there is a 5th involving Dave. Honestly they could remove those talents and just give us the basic form of him baseline and that would be an improvement.
Also Ox stance seems designed to make Brew better at the thing Brew has always been really good at which seems off to me.
Does Brew still have the talent/ability to get increasing dodge chance until they dodge an ability? If so, it might help them in M+ if they kept that dodge chance for a second or two after the first dodge. This should slow down the damage intake a bit for dungeons while not really affecting raid bosses.
Yes we do. Also there is a talent that gives a 10% chance not to reset the stacks. Its one of many things they could easily adjust and havenât.
Brew isnât super broken or anything like that. Its just that there are a ton of little problems that have not been fixed for some unknown reason. For example during pre-patch Brew caught a DPS nerf and then basically went untouched since while other tanks have had massive changes.
Near the end of PTR they global buffed tank damage but Brew got less of a buff than all but Paladin. Now Brew is fighting for dead last on damage. Why?
