Brewmaster hasn't seen a single update in balance patches. What gives?

I’ve proposed such a solution for m+. A talent that modifies stagger to completely ignore a (small!) fixed amount of damage from each hit. This way it helps immensely in m+ where you’re taking tons of small hits and can get insta-gibbed by pulls that other tanks have zero issues with. But the fixed amount is small enough to where it doesn’t really affect the much larger hits you’re taking in raid tanking.

I don’t really think it’s safe to say the second highest rated tank definitely has a survivability lead. Tanks and healers oftentimes aren’t brought to high keys in M+ because of their prowess in the primary function, but how well they support the team being able to maximize total damage. Most tanks are perfectly capable to surviving pulls up to the point keys will cap out in the season; the ones that get the nod are the ones that either enable the team to deal more damage in some way or deal the most damage from the tank spot on their own.

What exactly are you basing this statement on? Brewmasters are nowhere close to the “second highest ranked tank.” If they were, they’d have more players playing them. They have the lowest participation rate BY FAR of any tank in m+.

i think at this point they might be preparing for a full rework of the spec and thats why its getting ignored

It is technically performing fine, just nobody plays it.

It is more nuanced and challenging than some of the other tanks, so participation is extremely low.

When you can pick a prot pally or bear and button mash with the simplest of rotations…why would most people go BRM?

Blizz is also scared to death of even TOUCHING the stagger coefficient because allegedly we become gods too easily with the slightest tweak.

There are always contrarians

Brew should definitely be good-er, they deserve it

Which would still be a step above the warrior dev, who doesn’t play warrior at all.
