You have officially left out players who don’t have the expansion and anyone leveling, Blizz.
No one cares if it has a drake manuscript in it. Either code it to not drop for people who haven’t unlocked dragonriding or who cares if they get it?
That rewards bag has many other items in it, including two mounts and a toy. And now you’ve blocked anyone who isn’t max level from getting these rewards.
Very bad change. Please fix this.
May have blocked alt-farming it, too, as I believe it says
" On your first kill of each day, you will be awarded a 
Keg-Shaped Treasure Chest, which has a chance to contain awesome items. You can get only one Keg-Shaped Treasure Chest per day, so there is no longer a point to farming the boss once you don’t need any of the trinkets he drops."
Wow, that is utter butt.
There was nothing wrong with the previous system, Blizzard. The level range for the ‘best loot’ being the latest xpac and the regular rewards being below that.
I am so very glad I already got all those mounts and farmed my Pink rocket with 30 toons before they made these kind of changes.
I wonder if that means character or account. It was always once per day per character, but if it’s once per account, that’s horrible.
Hopefully it’s character. I don’t really go out of my way to farm these, but I know lots of folks do and really look forward to these holidays. The level change is bad. I hope they didn’t double down on it by locking it per account.
So everyone who just plays the base game is out of luck? I don’t like this change. Holidays should be for everyone.
If it’s like the love rocket I believe they put in a change that it’s a higher drop chance for 1st kill per account.
I was so lucky to get it before this change.
Also, I love that we all still call it the love rocket.
It’s not the drop chance that’s the issue, it’s the fact that anyone who isn’t max level or doesn’t have the current expansion can’t try to get rewards we’ve been able to try to get for years without being max level before.

They did it with the valentine’s day love box, too, I remember having to farm it on my lvl 60+ back in SL and onwards.
If you’re not playing the current expansion, you’re apparently playing Retail wrong. At least that’s what it feels like.
One can only wonder how the current devs feel about Classic trucking along and gaining more popularity again due to Hardcore.

Given that Pirate’s Day dragon saddle manuscript was 50k gold, holidays aren’t for “everyone” anymore.
If it was given from a short questline instead, you’d see a ton of people doing it. Because that’d be content.

I thought that was the original uproar when they first changed it to current expansion levels only? It used to be anyone could try for the mounts at any level. Then they added the “you can only get mounts from the bag” and made it current expansion levels only.
They are. Lower levels aren’t barred from the holidays.
Character. I’ve done it on a couple of toons now (come to think of it, one of them was under 70), and gotten a treasure keg for both.
