Ignorance goes both ways, for what it’s worth. Someone can be just as ignorant while still having the ‘right’ view, at which point they’re just a mouthpiece which isn’t exactly a good thing either.
Absolutely. I understand that but I think practicing a little humility and saying “I don’t know” or “I need to do some research before I tell you what I think” or “This is what I think but I haven’t X” goes so far to avoid looking like an idiot. Honestly. I have so much respect for someone who admits their ignorance - it shows so much growth and maturity.
I owned a BMW. They were a PITA to get repaired. Had to go to a specific shop and required specific parts for too many things that cost a ton. But It also lasted for about 400k miles. It had 196k when I got it.
I know what chlorofluorocarbons are and their effect on the ozone layer. And how the reduction has helped, but unfortunately not as significantly as we had hoped.
I know the difference between weather and climate and how scientists know the difference in carbons found in the atmosphere, like when someone says “Well what about volcanoes!” Different type of structure in the carbon.
Actually, I hate attention. I just find it funny that the group (M+ people) who always made fun of everyone else are now the largest group of complainers. They said Delve people will complain it is soooo hard to do, meanwhile delve people are doing delves and it’s the M+'ers flooding the GD about how hard the content is. They don’t like the choice of dungeons. They don’t like the affixes. They dont like the difficulty. And they dont like the crests are on higher levels.
Yeah tried heroic in 3 different pugs. My war is 627 and doesn’t need anything in there, so went on my 616 lock. First boss destroyed the three groups I was in. With most dps was doing well over 1mil dps. Heroic will get nerfed for sure.
How is a thread about a raid being overtuned somehow getting infected with the m+ players are complaining again thing that I see all over gd. I swear the people who complain about m+ existing are by far the biggest whiners of them all despite them apparently just proudly not doing the content.
went into normal BRD with my guild last night. these folks are casual heroic raiders working towards AOTC.
item level of the raiders was between 611 - 621. Average item level is 616.
We only stayed an hour. An hour is about what it takes them to clear all 8 bosses in Nerubar Palace on normal.
One shot Roccor. Killed Bael’gar on third attempt. Wiped 6 times on Incendius, best pull was 12%.
I’m sure we can kill Incendius next visit now that we know we can stop the adds with cyclone and banish and to a lesser extent frost trap and fear.
But it is definitely over tuned considering that was only normal difficulty, and considering we were 25+ item levels over what normal difficulty Nerub-ar is tuned for.
For content that I’m 100% Blizzard wants casuals pugging on normal and heroic difficulties over the next few months, that 100% isn’t gonna happen without tuning the bosses a bit.

Thread
It was brutal for sure on Heroics. Frankly, I thought it was much more difficult than heroic Nerubar. Avg ilvl of 620 group and couldn’t down the third boss, Incendius.
Actually people were complaining heavily about delves when the balancing was broken. People treated them just as badly as the M+ crowd. People complain when there is an issue in their experience of a game. Why? It exerts a lot of energy and most people will choose the easiest way to what they want, its easier to deal with annoying but bad is too much.
The issue in wow is that there is a perpetual conversation about whether or not anyone should ever complain about anything. Its every thread basically. This stupid argument obfuscates any true dialog on these forums because people waste so much time arguing about tangential topics or from an uninformed place. This is a vehicle to speak to devs, we just don’t use it well. We look like a bunch of entitled children.
I guess it depends what mode. What exactly is overtuned? LFR/Normal/Heroic?
I would expect if Heroic drops the same loot as Nerubar Palace… that we’d have to progress on it and everything would not just fall over. I would hope not to the same extent, but if a particular boss took between 10-20 attempts to get down, I would not complain.
By the same token, if the stack count on LFR goes up to 25-30% Determination on average on a significant amount of fights, that’s grossly overtuned for the content.
what are you talking about? vanilla had the most simple mechanics. I went through it on my alt yesterday and it definitely is a little overtuned for the gear requirement and the reward is too low considering that fact. Additionally, i expect they overtuned it on purpose to slow players down ( even though it didnt work and a lot of us finished it on the first night.) That being said heroic is simply stupid right now and feels on par with some mythic palace bosses.
