As any specialisation they chose to play.
All classes had a viable talent tree for raids, pvp and world content.

Viable ≠ Optimal
ALL classes were viable in PvE and PvP.
Not all builds were optimal.
Optimal, however, is not required to PvE or PvP.

Yes I agree with you.
I think PvP was the most balanced at 60 before the fun police got involved. The laissez faire approach made for the most unique and interesting PvP wow has ever had. Everyone had a chance to kill anyone by picking your fights, and playing smart.
Your class was just the tool to accomplish your goal, it was your tactfulness, deception, and intelligence that determined the win. In short it was Sun-Tzu’s art of war.
The dramatically increased HP pools of later xpacs, resilience, and balancing pvp around 3’s to make WoW into an Esport traded fun for fair, and got neither.
Looking forward to classic.

I’m really tired of seeing this. Blizzard sells games in 196 different countries. It holds IPs, trademarks and copyrights in all of them in order to do this. If a private server is maintained in any of those countries, Blizzard can have them shut down.
So yeah, if you’re in North Korea or the Congo…terrific, you’ll get away with it if you can localize the software to your language. In the rest of the world, you will not.

If you stop and think about it, to an extent we all played a different game – because all the servers were different in terms of culture: DM vs VC for Deadmines, whether or not certain classes were pigeonholed into particular roles for raiding, etc.
Why can’t you just accept it’s going to be vanilla as it was in 1.12.1. Dude you just don’t like classic, which is fine but you have a version of the game to play that is already available. That game has all the changes you like and is currently available.

Idk, 8800 people were on lights hope yesterday apparently. I guess we will see how popular it is. I guarantee way more then that. Many will fall off after the game not being what they once were used to, but many i assume will stay. Brack was wrong, just trying to justify handing the game over to the wolves. Let developers do their jobs and have no interference from marketing.

This. People playing private servers indicates actual demand for the original game. So actiblizz is creating Classic.

and their was 10,000 logged in on Christmas day haha. Not all will afford to pay for classic; but how many that play the server, have no interest in playing the server but wanna play classic, and those who don’t care about forums and release dates and debates, will play? Tons.

They’ll play Classic and fall off after a week or so. Its ok though they’ll keep BFA and Blizzard needs them in the condition they’re in. Imagine World of Warcraft current, competing with World of Warcraft Classic.

Been active here since week one.
I explained.
Then debated.
Then argued.
Then argued more angrily.
The amount of pressure to change classic increases with blizzard releasing more statements.
The ziryus type people will cut you down and say your arguing is pointless and will try to demoralize. Don’t let the rats have a inch. The devs stated they where reading the forums and they even had No Changes in all caps on a white board. Everything will pay off. Don’t lose your head op. The final frontier is ours.
