If you have an advantage, and you lose, then you don’t actually have an advantage.
It’s still not pay to win. You can’t just redefine the term to mean whatever you want. But that’s the only way you can keep pretending to have a point.

How does that not help me?
See, you get it!

So you are saying me on a lvl 475 does not give me more chances against you vs me on ilvl 400? And you are saying the increase in those chances is not an advantage?
“Sanctioned cheating” means “not against the rules” which means “not cheating”.
I am not surprised at all you completely missed the point of that post. It had nothing to do with finding the definition of p2w in MW. It was you refuted the definition of convenience and instead said you believe its pay2win because you believe wiki>Merriam Webster.
BTW the p2w definition in wiki just makes you look like a fool because it’s exactly what everyone else has been saying.
P2w means buying something in the game shop that is only accessible for real money in the game shop. That’s from wiki. Have some self respect and just give up little buddy.
Why does it always have to be 475 versus 400? Also? You can’t fully deck yourself out with 475 gear from buying BOEs. So your example is ridiculously exaggerated and doesn’t match up with what would actually be possible in-game.
“In general a game is considered pay-to-win when a player can gain any gameplay advantage over his or her non-paying peers”
This is from Wiki.
You understand what Skip cooldown means right?
Buying shadowlands and leveling to 60 is pay2win against anyone who doesn’t buy it and stays at 50. I can stretch out my arms too
Because that IS NOT what happens in WOW. Everyone has access to the same AH and can buy the same gear for the same price. Wiki clearly says “others might otherwise NEVER BE ABLE TO ACCESS SAID ITEM.”
You know it’s an example right? Alright my absolutely literal friend, SOME level 475 boe and SOME random 400 gear which puts me at APPROXIMATELY 450 then. does that satisfy your craving for absolution? I’d say 450 is still an advantage over 400?
The proof is in the pudding dude.
They pay for 10+ accounts and use outside programs to control each account at once. This allows them to go around 1 shotting anyone they want.
And more importantly it allows them to farm herb/mine nodes like crazy. For example When someone picks a herb, thanks to new world scaling that herb will be there for a few seconds after. This in theory takes away people ninjaing herbs.
But allows multiboxers to loot that same herb on all 10 of their chars allowing them to farm way more than they should be causing them to flood the AH with mats and effectively control the price.
EVERYONE CAN BUY THE SAME ITEM FOR THE SAME PRICE. Not pay 2 win. Its a convenience. Maybe I’ll look up the definition of convenience for you on wiki.
People like you are why the rest of us gamers get have a bad reputation.
It amazes me that people think 6 players vs 6 characters is any different in game play.
It’s a ridiculous example.
You’d need to buy more than half your slots with 475 boes (which means scraping the bottom of the barrel for any item level upgrades that probably aren’t all that impressive) in order to get up to an average of 450.
I have an idea…
Ask Blizzard. Ask them if this Wow is P2W. If they respond No, ask their definition.
After all, it is their game and should have the answer.
Is it P2W…fully or partially.
Is it P2W…or P2P.
Or is it both.
Ask Blizzard again about their stance on Multi Boxxers and why it’s allowed because it’s cheating.
Ask them… If they agree it’s P2W then discussion over.
Ask them… If Multi-Boxing is cheating.
Instead of this back and forth…go straight to the “horses mouth” as my Gran used to say.
Btw…A boxxer posted that he was banned. If it were all about the money, don’t you think they’d avoid banning one?
Yea and I can buy it 6 months ahead of you. Not an advantage according to your logic?
Boxing is not bannable unless you are using automation.
OH NO! okok, approximately 420 then! satisfactory now Miss Perfection? 420 over 400 not an advantage?
Its 100% not an advantage. It has no impact on my game at all. If I aquire enough gold I’ll buy it in the AH or farm in a raid.
While you will be crying in the forums for six months there isn’t enough content and how horrible blizzard is.
