I feel SO bad for the legitimate players because your team is now almost 95% bots, and you stand almost no chance of winning.
On Alliance, we have some, but definitely not as many as you do on Horde.
I’m so sorry.
Botting - This is a REALLY bad joke, right?
Blizzard decided to remove RDF (allegedly) because they wanted to preserve and maintain the “Classic Feel” - IN WHAT UNIVERSE DOES BOTTING ALIGN WITH ANY CLASSIC FEEL?
Oh, but they need us to report the bots, and then they’ll ban them!
Obviously not. The bots aren’t even TRYING to hide the fact that they’re bots - it’s so blatantly obvious that ANYONE and EVERYONE knows. If we had even ONE in-game GM monitoring AVs, we’d see an onslaught of bans, guaranteed.
I started seeing and reporting them last month. They were all fresh DKs made to auto farm AV. No surprise, nothing was done. I’ve also seen them in northrend now doing laps. They’ll be in the 70s but still wearing all the starting area gear. The owners of these things never care about the gear. They just want to get it to max level then it’ll be posted on an auction site.
“Just when you thought DKs scumlords couldn’t get any worse.”
-Don’t blame bots on our class. The bots are scumlords, not DKs.
“It literally take less than 2 days played to get to 80 why buy a toon?”
-The same can be said about buying boosts but look at how many people bought boosts.
You need to report them while you’re both alive for the other options to be available.
I reported a bunch of them week 1, and got a few “thanks for reporting” notifications, but not nearly as many as reports I submitted. My guess is it’s just some automated banning going off from mass reports. It was funny for a little bit, all it took was me as a rogue capping both frostwolf towers and relief hut within 3 minutes of the game starting, and it was a guaranteed 5 minute win.
Yeah, you can’t be dead either, you BOTH need to be alive, which is difficult sometimes, because by the time you can see the bot, it’s usually either rushing at you, or someone else is about to kill it, or it has backup, so it’s really difficult to report while you’re BOTH alive quickly, before one of you dies.
I had it easy on my rogue, because I could just stealth around reporting them.
I think it’s a botting problem in general regardless of faction. I was just in an AV where the alliance had at least 15 DK bots running in a pack auto attacking anything close. There was no way for them to defend themselves with as many as there were .It was a stupid easy win. Botting is getting pretty bad and something should be done.
I had my doubts, but today I saw half of the raid going directly to the south towers, trying to complete the weekly mission, forgetting all about the defenses, we lost in 8 minutes…
Yeah, it seems all we can do is report AFK, which doesn’t do much good in the end.
Oh, absolutely, 100%. My last match in AV, we had a MINIMUM of 14 bots on the Alliance that I personally saw, but 93% of our team was DKs, so there’s a darn good chance it was more than 14.
The issue is, to make a level 58 DK is literally as simple as $15. Leave it farming AV for a day straight and it’ll be level 70. Leave it for another week, and it’ll be 80. Botting to 80 is incredibly cheap right now, and once they’re 80, you can bet they’ll start farming instances for raw gold that they’ll then sell to other players. I wonder if 10 blood DKs could even be programmed to run nax10 for gear. Honestly, automation is not cutting it for these bots, it’s just too low a bar of entry right now.
Whoever said sell the toon is just straight up wrong. They bot to 80 and then use the level 80 to farm gold/flyhack instances for gathering nodes and sell that for profit.
