"Botters won't use the 58 boost"

Might wanna remove that bit

Why? I’m really not too worried about it lol.

I think people greatly overestimate how effective Blizzard is at banning bots.

People act like they’re banned in less than a day, when I routinely see the same bots (who I’ve also reported along with many others) in the same area, farming for weeks.

The bots use Blizzard game balance to purchase the boost, which is purchased with in-game botted gold. It’s not even a problem for them to buy the boost and they easily make their money back in a day.

My source reports they can make the money back from the boost in as few as 12 hours. Half a day. It’s wild, that’s some serious turnover.

Your source is looking up gold prices and doing math lol.

The only way this ‘turnover’ makes sense is if they are selling gold as quick as they get it meaning that gold gets sold immediately, but that’s not how it works.

Bots will not buy the boosts…

They already have MILLIONS of gold on servers they are WAITING to sell. Boosts won’t make them more money when they already have more product than they can sell. It would just increase their overhead costs for no actual profit gain because they already have more gold than they can sell.

There is no financial gain from bots using the boost, it only increases their overhead costs.

If you sell watches and can get 20 watches sold per day on average and you have the option to buy 1000 watches per imported per week instead of 140 per imported watches deliveries per week AND that 1000 watches costed more per watch delivered to your store for you to sell, why would you buy the 1000 watches to be imported to your store when you know it would not make you sell more watches but just increase your overhead costs?

Alright, I’ll bite. How exactly does this prove that they are botters?

It doesn’t, boosted characters can get gear upgrades from those places and I have seen actual players with what looked like random names before.

As an example I played with a warrior called

Dibimenwb

He explained it ment "die by me newb " but it looks like random name on the surface.

Anyone who thinks botters are paying full price for the boost is brain damaged.

Boost costs under 30$ using ARS to USD conversion. Takes less than 2 days to recoup that gold and you can have bots goldfarm ready in under 6 hours. I’ve warned people about this since day 1 but OOO SHINY BOOST will always be the deciding factor. Activision Blizzard does not give a sh*t about this game.

They are not buying boosts because it doesn’t increase their profits. They already have millions of gold waiting to be sold, why spend more on overhead to farm more gold when you already outpace your sales demand by a large margin.

What changes am I attempting to push? I haven’t said anything about changes in any post.

I’ve stated that there will be botters who use the boost. And how I dont agree with the boost in general

Where is the proof that botters are using the boost though?

You are clearly trying to correlate how bad the boost is and pushing the idea of bots being a major downside to the boost, I mean you don’t specifically have to say “get rid of this thing” for me to get the idea of what you’re attempting to say.

My FC leader in FFXIV is setting up a bot farm as we speak. This is a guy I’ve know for a good 17 years now and botted plenty in the past. He’s testing the waters again too see how bad charge backs will be

Anecdotal evidence, do you have data or something more substantial?

Am I missing something here or is this quote possibly the most irrelevant post in this thread lol

Of course its anecdotal

Its literally my one friend doing it as we speak. You asking for proof? Thats all the proof I could ever give. I’m not friends with anyone else who has ever botted.

Nobody could give solid proof on what every botter is or will be doing. And him talking about it is why I’m even in this thread to begin with.

So about those chargebacks. Not really a great idea to try that against Blizzard. They REALLY don’t like that sort of thing.

He was talking about chargebacks being done to him in the past. He would sell, and the person would chargeback forcing him to deal with it.

10:08 AM Server time, 20 players, all with legit names, not even all lvl58.

10:09 AM Server time, 31 players, only 6 of whom are 58, all of which are Mages, and all of them have legit names.

Are bots the sort of thing to not run when everyone is at work? Is that how bots work? Do they have jobs to get to?
