I know what it is we are all just doing our /who as all 900 bots just zoned out…
That’s got to be it

I’ll do you the same respect and not read the rest of your post. From what I saw it’s just full of ad-homimem attacks, refusals to engage with my counter arguments, and - very cute - gaslighting by suggesting I’m being semantic in pointing out that people are continuously misrepresenting my argument.
You’re welcome to your opinion. I’ll still stand by mine because it is supported by statistical analysis whereas yours is - as far as I can tell - only supported by anecdotal observations.
It’s difficult but a 58 hunter can boost himself in ZG.
Won’t be as fast but it’s free.
So? Your argument was they would just buy more? Why aren’t they farming more gold right now?
The level boost was implemented FOR the gold farmers. If you can’t see this you need to spend less time in fantasy land playing video games and learn how the world works.
A couple of things here that i think you are not understanding how the actually situation works and are making some pretty big assumptions. Will some botters use the boost. Most likely. Will it be a huge problem. Not Likely.
The botting groups that are buying boosts are not the smartest and will be most likely the ones that will lose their accounts by being caught early, and they heavily invested in it.
The boosted toons are relatively weak due to low gear so they can not do any of the new content farms without leveling, and are more likely to be caught causing a heavily invested cost to be wasted.
Most hard core botting already had a ton of 60s on every server, so it would be mostly new companies trying this, and to do that requires a huge initial investment if they go the botting way.
Botting leveling means they get a ton of stuff to sell, increasing their profits considerably and are harder to track since they are actively leveling. Most are also from china and other countries where labor costs are ridiculously low right now and high unemployment due to covid means they can pay people even less since people are desperate. With that they can pretty much have toons logged in 24/7. New york times article points out this “For every 100 gold coins he gathers, Li makes 10 yuan, or about $1.25, earning an effective wage of 30 cents an hour,”. So even if they pay someone 24/7 to play a toon at 30 cents an hour in a week which is more than it would take at 24/7 to get a max level toon they only pay $50 USD and they make gold from drops and lower level items during the process they would not make buying the boost.
Blizzard has already had a ban wave against these toons which means Blizzard made money and the botters lost money, effectively killing a few botting companies that invested to try and get in quick only to lose it, increasing the risk to botting companies of losing money.
I’m just going to drop this right here:

Hard to see the boosted characters’ names in that shot…I didn’t get a screenshot, but have seen several similar groups in UC at the mailbox all with names like Ashgdjkl, Gfdtstrf, Asghgaej and other such nonsense.
meanwhile before the boost there were level 58 + rogues in there with random names.
This doesn’t really prove anything.
