"Botters won't use the 58 boost"

You do understand that a massive banwave went out like 4 days ago right?

Observing that there are no/minimal bots running is like observing there’s water in the ocean.

BAD BLIZZARD
BAD INDIE COMPANY

Banning all bots.

Making fascist anti-boosters seethe on forums!

Literally every time I posted my screenshots no one said anything.

Last time I did ZF there was 6 level 58s.

They’ll never comment on stuff like that though

What does this matter if they are buying a boost?

According to you they are buying boosts to bot, so they can just make a new account and buy a new boost on that new account and get right back in there.

They would have 0 downtime from a ban wave.

Do you got any source on how many lvl 58 “bots” were banned or did you just ignore all the lvl 60 bots that have been in the game for over a year

If a ban wave went out 4 days ago and botters are using boosts in mass then they should all be back in brd already.

But they aren’t. I wonder why…

Their websites showing how they have millions of gold waiting to be sold and that shows supply outpaced demand by a good amount. Meaning increasing supply won’t increase their profit due to demand being the deciding factor on sales.

The boosts being used by bots would increase their supply more quickly at a higher investment cost. But because they already FAR outpace demand there is no reason to invest more to increase supply.

That’s what I said above but they won’t respond to anything that’s logical.

We warned them and were told the boosters would not use it.

I even explained that boosts, accounts and all that in “Classic” is free for the botters because it’s all 100% paid for by retail botting.

Was ignored and told I’m wrong and the Botters would be irresponsible if they purchased the boost…

It’s almost like they don’t realize how profitable botting in Retail is, and that the gold farmers never left, and that they have expanded into new territory and the gold token and battlenet balance conversion.

Oh well…

You were told you were wrong because you are.

More accurately what you were told is bots will be here regardless of boosts and while some of them might in fact use boosts that’s not the real issue.

But people wanted to use bots as part of their anti boost agenda.

In personally don’t care about the boosted characters, it’s not even that that bots use it that bugs me.

I know botting is hard to beat, it’s very hard to beat actually because every time you build a better mouse trap the mice get smarter.

My only argument was that bots will 100% use it because the botting is propped up by retail botting due to retail being extremely profitable to bot. I know people think botting died in WoD with the wow token, but what they don’t seem to realize is the botting problem is masked by sharding; the bots are very much live and well turning insane profits… well they were until recently when the SL game took an expected turn for the worst due to poor design choices.

As for TBC I don’t think botting will be as bad as Classic Vanilla because gold is much easier to get, but the boost does give the botters a much faster path to catch up; not a good thing IMO.

Here is where problems can crop up; this 100% depend on how many people are selling carries. If the carries are in high demand then the botters will be making money, but if the carries are minimal then the botters will only be on high pop servers.(mostly)

This is actually one of the reasons I am opposed to the Vanilla consumables model and world buff meta and arena rating on gear; not the only reason but one of them.

Any way, as usual it’s nice having a civilized discussion with you my friend.

I’m on Whitemane and on a Saturday on primetime there are a WHOPPING 3 Mages in ZF at 58 right now who are unguilded.

CALL THE PRESS.

Whitemane is top 2 in population btw.

Yeah man, all those exactly level 58 bots definitely aren’t accounts that used stolen credit cards to buy boosts, or using botted gold to buy boosts, doing exactly the same as they do on retail.

Absolute clown. Can’t wait to see how bad the TBC economy gets destroyed so I can laugh at the pro-boosters.

But the evil boost should of raised those numbers by 100s.

Where they at??

You’re either trolling or just not really able to comprehend the point of my post.

So basically not worth my time.

Boost topic aside generally how this works out is:

-Bots are anywhere and everywhere
-Bots get reported, players complain they never seem to get banned, etc
-Blizzard eventually hands out a massive banwave
-Bots disappear
-Bots return

Back when an infamous bot company was still around (Blizzard got a hold of their program code so they shut down WoW botting services) there were on a constant cycle of being shut down only to come back up some time later. Didn’t think I had to spell this all out for ya’ll but clearly you don’t pay attention.

Blizzard has even specifically stated they observe bots to understand what they are doing to combat them better. Even if you want to be pessimistic about it and just say they’re in it for the extra sub money the reality is that they do get banned in big waves and disappear for a short while. That’s just the cycle.

They’ll be back. The 60 bots are probably still out and about and the reality is the botters may actually give up on the level boost service eventually if they determine that those accounts just get picked off too quickly which is probably why they aren’t just buying up new accounts right away. Nothing is surprising to me about the fact that the banned boosted accounts didn’t immediately come back online, but the mass influx of 58 accounts that then vanished after a massive botwave confirms as much as any player could reasonably confirm that they absolutely tried to use the boosts to their benefit.

Unless Blizzard makes an actual statement about how many banned boosts they were we don’t have an number to go on other than a banwave. The best players can do is watch stuff like ZF be filled with 58 mages in ZF and watch them all disappear overnight. Which is what happened.

But I’m sure you’ll ignore that part and just claim since we don’t have an official source we cannot determine anything.

And
Yet
They
Still
Did
It

You think they couldn’t figure out that they can’t sell their gold fast enough so making more gold wasn’t necessary and they were wasting their time farming gold? You think they’re actually that dumb that they can’t look at their own website and say “Gee we have a lot of gold, maybe we should stop farming it?” You can’t possibly fathom that maybe there’s more going on that you don’t understand?

Whatever logic you want to throw out, whatever rationale you want to come up with is completely and holistically negated by the fact that they did it anyways. Who the hell knows exactly why they did it, maybe they know that their gold hoarding accounts get banned regularly so any surplus of any amount have could disappear in an instant. Maybe there are so many moving pieces that while the gold supply is hefty there are plenty of farmers who do not have enough gold and are the ones doing it.

But I get it. You want to continue to pout about how it’s a bad financial decision because you can look up their websites and see their gold stashes. You have everything figured out.

Botters buy boosts

“Haha you guys were wrong!”

Level of logic we’re dealing with here people.

You really take absolutes to a whole new level.

Maybe because you have no argument?

Or you were wrong?

Bots don’t have millions of boosted toons in dungeons.

Sure small botters may have bought boosts, we can’t say for certain who buys the boosts, just like you can’t. You can’t prove anything.

Your data is /who 58 rofl.

LOOK THEY ARE 58 IN A DUNGEON!!! BOT!!!

You have no sources to any form of actual data. All I know is when I just did /who ZF 58 there was 3 unguilded mages.

Where these new massive numbers at?

you already replied, seems that I’m very worthy of your time, and I’m living rent-free in your head.

You have no proof.
You have no data
You have no evidence
You have no facts

all you have is this idea you’re pulling out of the place that should only :poop: should come out
