Bots Now Mass-Banning Players:

It does happen, also happens on the forums. Blizzard = dumb.

This is actually 100% false and has been disproven by various streamers. You only get chat banned if the threshold is about 4 or 5 players. If the volume is much greater, which is somewhere between 5 and 39 as I think Asmongold having a 40 man report him resulted in a ban.

Thereā€™s a magical number that actually warrants action because the system is coded to presume your actions are far more egregious than just chat. I.E using smoke toys to depict crude or hateful iconography.

Actually itā€™s true, multiple streamers have proven it. Asmondgold (love him or hate him) probably has the best example video.

Itā€™s not just bot farmers either, if you are setting your prices on certain items too low can also get you mass reported (I believe Metagoblin has a video on that).

To be fair, people who undercut substantially and flood the market / screw it up are fools and have it coming.

Kidding, of course.

Yeah, itā€™s ridiculous you can mass-account and just control market by virtue of getting your competition banned.

i canā€™t tell this is 100% legit this time. But in shadowlands usually i was killing bot using multiboxing (yes bot at the same time) in arak peak and after some times wiping their parties days and days, the guy after that bought a hunter for fighing me each time i was layering and killing their party. And he said me that i was being mass reported by his bots. I did never stop until they nerfed that spot.

bots do not operate only by themselves, theres always 1 watcher and heā€™s going to threaten you if you keep touching their bots, 100%.

Yeah, they have protections in for streamers.

A chat ban effectively is a ban when you canā€™t do any group content for 2 weeks. Thatā€™s potentially 5-6 BFD lockouts missed.

Fake news here.

Big streamers have proven you can get suspended via mass report by having their audiences report them.

The automatic ban trigger when enough players report you in a span of x time is the laziest way Blizzard could possibly implement moderation of their games and Iā€™m surprised it tooks bots this long to weaponize it.

Why not just hire some GMs? maybe a league of legends tribunal? Anything other than auto ban.

If you have a guild and can use discord, thatā€™s not an issue. Doing every BFD lockout with my guild has been a far more enjoyable experience than rolling with random people.

If youā€™re bored just go hang out by Stockades and report the floods of bots you see coming in and out. Itā€™s mental.
