The bot problem in Random BGs has gotten ridiculous. I’ve been playing all night for some fun and to blow off some steam, but running into bots, on both sides, has sucked the joy right out of it. PvP is already on it’s last leg in this game, and this is only compounding the problem.
I’ve been playing since the OG Classic days, and I can only remember one other time when PvP was this overrun with bots. It’s seriously that bad.

Make sure to report any potential bots you come across in-game. So Blizzard can take action against them. You may do-so by Right-Clicking their name and selecting “Report Player” and then selecting the option you wish to report them under.

Oh, I’m sure they get reported. Not much is done about them though. I was just coming here to vent on the general discussion forums.
I get the “ban waves” but you would think that BG’s would be very easy to simply monitor from an in game GM perspective. Swift action against the botting scum would be really nice.
There are a lot more bots in bgs and wpvp getting the crates because of bloodstones. They cost 2.5k honor and often. Sell for 3k-10k gold.
Oh i know we have horde bot raids every day going for 2 crates every 16 minutes. At least 2 raids. And it’s cl ear they are bots, we’ve reported it for weeks now… still there doing the same thing over and over daily.
BG’s are about a 50% shot that you get stuck with a team half full of bots wandering around aimlessly in all green pve gear doing next to no damage and healing.
I moved onto other games for PVP. Between the botting, the rooting, and the stun locking, this is just no fun anymore.
Battle ground blitz is the answer to bots. Gain a little rank and you don’t see them anymore.
Do they even exist anymore? Seems to only be the “bot” templated e-mail game that doesn’t even address the tickets just a few key words from the ticket.
They do but it’s not like they’re sitting around watching BG matches. They work off tickets and reports.
Bots would be a nice change of pace from the premades. I didn’t realize how bad it was in random battlegrounds till I did ranked. Its absolutely night and day.
It is the worst to get into these BG’s these days. It seems like they all move as ONE player in my opinion and not just a premade of people on discord together, a full party of bots! lol
I would agree with this if not for the 30 min Q times for BGB
solo shuffle is pretty good too, not many bots in there I dont think, just incase you were looking for somewhere to play away from them.
i literally cannot express how angry and fustrated bots and cheaters/hackers make me.
its abundantly clear the problem is never ever going to stop, so your going to have to do what a lot of us do and suck it up, take the hurt and pain/ anger and resentment and just move away from whatever theyre doing and find something else to do.
I would LOVE to do that, but pvp is the end game content that I like more than anything else. Specifically BGs. And rated BG’s and BG Blitz queue times are just way too long to be a steady source of fun. At least for me.
Yea, sometimes I do AB and it feels like the entire enemy team are bots
i feel ya man. i felt like that about professions going along the way, it actually threw me away from the game for a few weeks and i got like fairly upset about it for quite some time.
i dont know what the answer is man, but people getting paid top dollar to run these game companies should, atleast I would imagine, have some kind of idea, or at the very least know someone who does, or have the resources to do something about it.
but then theres the theory that bots also provide them cashflow because it requires purchase of the game and or a sub to play so they just let it slide because its all a dollar game for them anyways
side note:
i was watching a random stream on twitch the other day of someone playing wow, they were fishing, and clearly using a fish bot to do so. right out in the open.
the cursor was far away from the bobber and the streamer was just chatting and going on about different stuff and the fish were just rolling in. not clicking on the bobber to “rheel in the fish” was a dead giveaway

Oh, I’m serious. There haven’t been any considerable amount in pvp for years. There’ll be some that pop up in high mmr games that eventually get banned but definitely not in random bgs.
