Literally. I can’t complete quests. There’s way too many to report each individual one.
All you need to do is report 1 blizzard will do the rest.
Right click and report at least one of them and that will flag their system for the time stamp and the locale for the folks behind the scenes to look at. Just please be aware that you’re not going to get instantaneous results. It takes time to research the bots and how to break them. You also only have what you think are bots, there is no way for you to be sure unless you have their behind the scene logs. It could be legit players, it could be hijacked accounts, there is no way of knowing the specifics.
Either which way, please continue to report them. Perhaps try working on another quest in the meantime, or try and tag what they’re farming. There just isn’t going to be a lightning bolt shooting from the sky to strike them down right then and there.
Leilleath has the right of it, these investigations take time as our teams are trying to not only deal with those that you report but also figure out their methods and means of detecting the bot or preventing it from functioning.
I think we all understand the frustration, Marionette. We don’t expect you to spend your time reporting every single character you suspect of botting. Report what you can, that will be forwarded to our teams for investigation.
Please investigate {Remove}, He’s literally DDOSing me with his million boomkins spamming spells all over the place.
That isn’t exactly how a DDOS works. Players are allowed to use the spells and abilities they have in-game.
If you suspect them of botting, you’ll want to use the right click report option to report as: Cheating.
You might also look to turning down your graphic options to see if that helps with any graphic latency.
Also adding that posting here will do nothing. They do not accept reports over the forums, least of all here where there are no GMs or Devs to see it. If you believe someone is doing something sanctionable, then you right click and report them using the in-game system. Though if you’re flagged and getting blasted “PvP happened”. Definitely not being DDoS’d though, as Vrak said.
I don’t think that’s what he said. His issue is that a player controlling multiple toons is spamming spells. If he is doing that with the specific intent to cause a zone disruption by creating server lag, that is a violation (though as I recall from past experience, it takes a LOT of toons and a coordinated effort). Ballzeye, if you encounter this player and believe he is causing a zone disruption, right click him and report him. I guess you could use cheating; I think there’s a box to allow for an explanation of what you are witnessing.
That was just to cover my bases as it wasn’t explicitly stated how it was being equated to a DDoS attack. A lot of the time we do see people who come here quite upset because they were flagged and they kept getting killed off and think it’s something more than what it is. So I will apologize if I was off base with that.
