I’d of been impressed if they did this 6 months ago. But for them to do it at the end of the quarter, and being smart enough to realise they won’t ban another bot for another 6 months I’m not going to give them credit where credit is due. This is like congratulating some dude for coming to work even though he’s 6 hours late.

How do you determine which part of the blue post you selectively believe? You believe they banned 120,000 bots but you don’t believe the part where Aggrend said this is in addition to the tens of thousands they ban per week.

Instead of arbitrarily picking things to believe, why believe any of it? Do you just pick out the things that support whatever narrative you’re pushing? Just trying to understand a bit where conspiracy theorists are coming from.

You don’t think an alternative could be for the company to devote a miniscule amount of their profits to employing 1 person to track and ban bots is a realistic alternative? You want to just instantly turn the game into p2w?

I would rather they not. But no matter how many resources they devote to killing gold selling, it cannot be eradicated with reflexive banning. You go to the source and plug the hole.

Blizzard is about to gain even more revenue from the bots than they did the last 6 months. It’s actually really brilliant and it makes Blizzard look like heros to the players dumb enough to think this is some sort of positive news.

I can believe what I want to believe. I believe there was 120k+ accounts to ban because there is thousands of very blatant bots in all aspects of the game. I don’t believe tens of thousands of these are regularly banned because I see the same bots with the same names in the same zones doing the same things for months on end, just like everyone else does. But you can try get some brownie points from the company that couldn’t care less about you by defending them tooth and nail all you like.

They are buying gold for GDKPs. If GDKPs were made against ToS and people were banned for them then gold buying would decrease drastically in Classic.
