Are people really using bots again? I have had a few questionable games. Then we had a game where a hpala was dispelling cc on his warrior so fast, it didnt look natural at all. We tested it with poly first and the debuff never even had time to appear on the warrior. Its possible they were just timing it perfectly with the end of the cast, but like i said, it didnt look natural. So i decided to use psychic horror on the warrior on cd to see what would happen. It was also removed instantly, everytime, like it never even happened.

Wth. We are at 1500 rating. Not exactly cream of the crop levels here.

Would need to see gameplay footage to really tell. People also use dispel party12 macros, so that could be a reason for the uber fast dispels.

I mean I use dispel party macros. But I cant dispel an instant cast cc so fast that the debuff never even appears on my teammate.

I mean I dont use dispel party12 macros (I probably should use em), and even I can still get CCs off pretty darn quick, esp if im anticipating a CC and not on the GCD.

Are you sure it isn’t the trinket that removes 1 full duration CC per minute?

It was dispelled. Ill get hate for this too, but I use lossa to hear dispels so I know when i can use mindgames.

I guess i need to start recording games. Ive been playing since tbc and have seen many different types of bots. I havent seen definitive botting like this in a long time though.

If it’s an instant cc they could still be anticipating it, casted cc is easy to remove because you know when it’s landing. I remember Warlocks having imp dispel on auto, but that’s about it.

Well you can’t really know for sure that it’s a bot or not. You’d be surprised at some people’s reaction times.

I myself, when I used to heal, would always dispell incredibly fast too. That’s because I play proactive instead of reactively. It takes a lot of practice but I am able to consistently pull off near instant level dispells.

Yeah i get that. But no human can dispel it so fast that it never even appears as a debuff every single time it was off cd. Its not like i was telegraphing it, I was just jumping around surviving so i could keep testing it.

full bots are largely gone from pvp, but single function cheat automation scripts are in heavy usage and never really disappeared

single function automation scripts are basically separate parts of the old full botting cheats still used because they are MUCH harder for bliz to detect

full bots still exist in pve but nowhere near the levels of MoP/WoD

classic is a whole different story I hear but I’m not familiar with it personally

Yes this is what I’m talking about. I only say “bots” in reference to the old kickbots that would kick you before your cast bar even appeared. The effect was very similar only it was with dispels.
