Some innocent people would likely be impacted. The idea isn’t to never take action on innocents, but to minimize that as much as possible while having an overall positive impact to the game as a whole.
If linen cloth is purchased for 10,000g on the Horde or Alliance AH I think it’s safe to say something fishy is going on. There are plenty of such patterns to look out for. It’s all about monitoring large gold transactions. TBH it wouldn’t really be all that difficult.

I agree that there are obvious ones (like you mentioned)
But I send a few K over from alts at times. Id hate to get banned for that. I think if they tossed in some auto ban system for minor things theyd get flooded with tickets and it would enrage people.
Which is why i think attacking the supply is the way. How many completely obvious bots do we see daily that they choose to ignore?

Oh for sure, proof required! But buyers need to pay in blood too. IMO make it permanent ban, because I don’t want them to have the hope of account recovery.
