I agree. But i still think it is my 3rd favorite xpac. WotLK, MoP, DF. Its a good xpac. But theres nothing exceptional about it, yet.

Well, there are 4 dragonriding mounts so you can use one of the other two and assert your individuality! :slight_smile:

I was for a while, but after a certain point you literally cannot anymore.
So now I treat it like I do driving irl: I do not enjoy it, but I use it because I have to and have no other choice.

I’m a druid.
I just want flight form.

I have a Lunarwing form taught to me by the Gosh Darn GODDESS OF FLYING CREATURES HERSELF and I can’t use it. Avianna is actually the overseer of G’hanir, the Dragon afterlife, and the flight form she taught me can’t be used in the dragon isles?

Edit - Changed my choice of wording to “gosh darn” because this forum is full of adults who would be offended by my word choice and snitch like a 5 year old kindergartener trying to make hall monitor.

It does really suck to have put tons of time into earning a gladiator mount and just be unable to use it. I don’t wanna use the new boring dragons, I wanna use my cool dragon lol.

same. though, in my case, i’m sick of not having the different scale-colours for my dragons, and hate that tit’s behind a rep-grind (and yes, that’s a good incentive to do it, but god-dang is it annoying!).

You can mark them as a “Favorite” and they will be auto used in dragon isles, while your other favorites will be used in the older worlds.

The point is if you’re tired at looking at your own 4 mounts. I don’t care about tmogging them. I want to use other mounts I actually had to TRY to get and therefore are my favorite.

Before the Disc buff there was a holy priest buff and the disc priest was untouched. At that time I went into chat and said it was Bee Ess that disc didn’t get buffed. Only I spelled out the full word. I got muted for 14 days because of “multiple reports.”

Anyhow… after chatting around I heard multiple times that there is a crusade to clean up wow chat. On the surface, I’m okay with it, because old WoW chat had achieved maximum seething toxicity. People have an addon called “Badboy” installed. And then they put in a bunch of custom words, adding a curseword dictionary. When that word pops up, Badboy app flashes a little icon on their chat screen that allows them one-click report button.

That’s when I realized that there’s such a thing as toxic language censorship. I get it… wow chat was a cesspool. But we are in fullblown nighmare burn all books mode here.

Ride the ugly green one. I rarely see that one used.

I still think that all dragon mounts (like the drakes, netherdrakes, etc) should be able to dragon ride. That we can at least use SOME of our other mounts, and it would make things more interesting to look at

I think it might have issues getting old mounte to do it.

I mean, dragon riding mounts have different skeletons and way more animations.

I just use the random one and it seems to always pick that green one for me. Then again, when I go to sports games, I have to wear the jersey of the opposing team because I’m the bad luck guy.

Yup, that would be great. I don’t see why they can’t do that.

But, the WoW code base is inscrutable even to them, and they can read it. Who am I to second guess what’s easy or hard in this game.

The green one just wants to be loved but it’s just so ugly…

And most of the horns clip through its body.

I’m more annoyed by other things.

  1. More dragon colors would be nice. A “twilight” flight IE purple, “Albino” IE white, etc. I like matching my mogs to mounts and feel stuck with primary colors for now. It would also add variety to what people see day to day.

  2. DF mounts useable as regular fliers in old content. I like going back to the old world to not get burnt out and it sucks not seeing my flashy new well-animated dragon there.

I have barely done any of the customization. I learn the glyphs I get then forget about them. I’ve checked out the ones I’ve gotten once or twice but I just don’t care about that stuff. Basically 95% of the time I use the basic green one on any particular character I’m on.

Dragon riding is fine it’s better than I was expecting and the speed is nice but it doesn’t really move my needle one way or the other.
