You forget that dragonriding mounts cannot be used anywhere else so it may not be as straightforward as you seem to think it is. If it was an easy toggle, they would have done it already.
Here’s the thing - I want to revisit my favourite mounts, too, but I’d much rather they also take advantage of dragonriding than go back to XYZ coordinate manipulators.
Yeah, I was excited about the glyphs until I stated using them.

omg, I can’t wait for this.
I think the biggest problem with most “customizations” in this game is they’re not noticeable. Like when I’m at the dragon modder, I can see all these differences and they do look pretty good.
But out in the world?
I see which of the four you’re on and the color. I don’t notice the tail, the markings, the horns. I just see which archetype and color you have.
Honestly, it’s similar to most character customizations. Jewelry? Different colored eyes? Scars? Yo…I see your race and hair and that’s about it. If I have to get close to you and zoom in to notice it, it feels kind of pointless. Heck, I don’t even see MY customizations outside of hair except for the character select screen to be honest.

They should add dragonriding animations for all mounts with wings. That way we can use most of our favorite older mounts.

Best part is the net-o-matic 5000 doesn’t work in the dragon isles! You have to whirling surge into them!

It is an easy toggle, proven by the fact that Dracthyr can more or less dragon ride everywhere with their racial.
It’s restricted to Dragonflight zones due to them restricting dragonflight content to dragonflight.
Someone hasn’t been to the war mode vendor.

What does that have to do with anything? I said dragon riding being added to old content is 100% doable, being added to normal flying mounts is 100% doable. There’s no reason to think otherwise.
They already did.
Perhaps IF they do a PF in dragonland but they aren’t going to allow flight out of the blue as that would defeat the entire purpose of dragonflight.
Dragonriding AND Dracthyr were designed together hand in hand, it makes sense that both can use dragonriding system, you’re saying it’s a simple toggle because dracthyr can use it, that’s irrelevant, it was designed to do so. The dragonriding mounts can’t normal fly so I have to believe it’s not so simple to just put dragonriding to the other ones.
It’s simple because with the exceptions of the ones I mentioned above, they already use the animation skeletons. It’d be as simple as adding them to the ‘full replace’ category on the dragon riding mounts or just axing the ‘normal’ flying system entirely and replacing it with dragon riding.
If it was that simple, why can’t dragonriding mounts be used in any other zones? They can’t even be used in Aligator Academy…
The flying system is boring. Give us what we had for the last 15 years

I’m not going to lie: the ONLY reason I preordered was that I wanted that leaf dragon for my druid…and I wanted it right then.
Honestly, I’m not even a huge mount collector type, but that dragon is the own, and I want it to be a dragonrider mount.
