Get rid of the boosts blizzard! There’s no reason for them at all. Get them out of the game. People should start at level 1 if they’re actually new players just like everyone else had to. GET RID OF THE BOOSTS!
Exactly. Bots have dozens of accounts.
That’s not what I meant. I have more than one account and I do not bot. A lot of people have several accounts who have never botted or bought gold.
I love reading these threads and just watching people act like they own the WoW ip. Sorry honey, blizzard owns it, as such, they are allowed to do with it as they please.
Who cares? Mages have been boosting since P1, its a single boost per account and only up to 58. You can’t even boost a BE or Draenei!
I really don’t think the people complaining actually played TBC or any of the following expansions, since it was one of the biggest issues for new players. How could you increase the playerbase when you expected them to level sometimes 100 levels before they could even play the game they bought?
Y’all are just whining for the sake of whining.
I legit can’t tell if this post is made for sarcasm or not. It is so outlandish and lacking in any real content that I can’t be sure.
If meant for sarcasm, good job, you hooked a lot of lads on here.
If not, you are quite out of touch with what we need TBC and beyond to be if Blizzard is going to keep making them. Blizzard is, and always will be, a business first. For that to work, they need to increase income to keep doing new things. Classic/TBC don’t gain any additional money in a lot of cases for the people playing as they are playing retail already, thus TBC/classic is just a perk.
The servers they are making are TBC classic. These are not TBC and vanilla classic. The TBC experience starts at 58+ in outlands. The vanilla classic experience still starts at 1, but that isn’t what the game is anymore. The game is now TBC classic.
Forcing newcomers (and returners) to do content they didn’t want the first time isn’t good for anyone. A lot of people didn’t like vanilla, but like TBC. Just as like Wrath but not TBC/vanilla. Forcing these people to do the stuff they didn’t like wouldn’t help anyone.
The more people we have playing TBC, the more people we have buying new accounts, boosts, etc, is only good for everyone. More money coming in for classic, means more classic like things we get.
If this was an unlimited boost you could buy tons of and came with max profs etc etc, I’d agree it would be a crap experience, but since it is only a single with a well aimed focus of bringing new(or old) players back to the classic side, I don’t see a downside on any side.
That alone is why I don’t think boosts are needed.
I agree with you that anyone grinding to 60 means nothing lol… It always has and always will.
I also don’t like boosts, but not because someone thinks their grinding a toon means something lol…
It really is absolutely disgusting.
Jeez…i start reading forums again …for this?
OK 1st off bro chill I mean this isn’t the end of the world it really isn’t.
Second of all I think you’re blowing up over nothing II really don’t think it’s going to be that big of a deal.
It’s one per account One per account I think it’s fine I really do.
Now granted I will say are there better options then the boost yes.
But I don’t think the boost is the worst thing I have in rather sent the see them do it something like this then a store.
So I think the boost is completely fine and I don’t think it’s that big of a deal.
Not only that I think it’s going to bring a lot of people back to the game that don’t really have an interest to play through the original classic.
Remember unlike classic wow The leveling is a lot smaller part of the game.
In fact 1 the 70 I would say is only about 20% of the actual content.
There’s a lot more end game stuff to do in the burning Crusade.
So I think it will be fine What alone I would make an argument that considering all the attunement you have to do.
All the reputations you have to grind For the keys to get in to heroics let alone raids as going to take you a lot longer.
Then 1-58 So I think it’ll be fine
Wrong. speaking of up front cost, while blizzard themselves haven’t charged as of yet for classic wow other than the sub fee, they have charged for remastering older games such as Warcraft III reforged which by census is a horrible mess, but other companies have done the same and made profits off older titles, crash bandicoot, Spyro, mass effect, jak and daxter just to name a few ( just realized those are all by naughty dog entertainment expect mass effect)
This is cash grab for blizzard they don’t truely care about it community they hide behind catching up to there friends but real friends help each other. The largest issue I see with this beside blizzard wanting to line there pockets is the fact that people aren’t thinking about the countless bots and farmers who are gonna be flooding the markets and farm spots. What blizzards sees the bots as free money. They might ban 1 out of 100 but blizzard wanting ants there money and will hide behind lies. If blizzard you wanna line your pocket do it else where sell the trading card items. That is the least hurting way for blizzard to make money
Bots easily gonna be buying there account and boost and will then be selling gold and creating more issues on the servers like for real did blizzard just blank this section out or is the money covering there eyes. It’s really bad… This is gonna be the beginning for introduction of other items such as tokens…
i’m hoping they make at least 1 fresh tbc server with no boosts, so i can level up with everyone else on a classic tbc draenei priest. then on a separate boosting server boost a second nelf priest as shadow. so i’ll have 2 priests in tbc, one as a mana battery, the other a legit healer. save my nelf’s healing abilities for wotlk. hehe. shadowmeld in combat ftw.
I doubt there will be nearly as many bots anymore seeing as how blizzard has threatened the people who make them and sell them with lawsuits. If you’re worried about bots which may inevitably happen then maybe you should get a degree in some kind of game design and security and apply to Blizzard for a job.
How dare they try and kill the GDKP and boost systems currently in classic.
Those poor gold capped mages will never recover
Are you familiar with irony?
If your memories, friendships, and achievements were devalued because of a one-per-account character boost(thats directed mostly for newcomers to BC), then you probably had a pretty shallow experience. No need to turn this into a high school prom royalty competition.
slightly erratic and emotional boost but I agree with the message OP. Just try to seem a tad more level-headed and make more reasoned arguments so that you convince more people onto our side
