Actually he didn’t he said during the wrath pre patch. Which would be months after the sunwell patch.
And if they do the same thing for wrath that they did with TBC it would only be available on the wrath servers.
That would be roughly the equivalent of if the boost we’re getting was to 60 with BWL gear.
And of course you have to look at the relative power of the boost. 58 with junk gear going into Outlands is basically bottom of the barrel. There’s no really an equivalent for max level content since people get more spread out.
Curious. Are you ever “wrong”?

that depends on the type of response you’re fishing for.
“Wants to keep” would imply that the forums are filled with people gushing over the boosts, when it’s been the opposite with whining.
The point is to find the LINE, where is the LINE in this. What would you consider a pay to win boost and what is not?
Said boost let’s you start the content, pretty self explanatory.
I think the bare minimum to start Outlands is a perfectly fine line, and could be a lot more without causing any real issues.
When the gear is best in slot for relevant content it’s paid to win.
That hasn’t changed.
So is a lvl 60 character with crap gear pay-to-win, is a lvl 60 with molten core gear, is a lvl 60 with AQ gear? What about a lvl 60 with an epic mount?
Where would you draw the line?

The boost we’re getting is so far away from pay to win that theorizing about an actual break point isn’t even worth the effort.
It offers no advantage as it’s the bare minimum required to enter Outlands. As you offer more and more it becomes something that is an advantage over more and more people. But regardless what we’re getting is nowhere near pay to win.
Even a level 60 in full Naxx gear would be a grey area as that gear will be replaced by 70 anyways.
None of those are paid to win if TBC is out.

In that case, playing classic now and going into TBC with naxx gear, maxxed professions, an epic mount, and thousands of gold is an even more clear-cut case of paying to win.
How dare these people pay $15 a month for the last two years for such a huge advantage over these other players just starting out.
A trip through the Dark Portal
So if I’m a hunter who bought a thoridal (second best bow), instead of a golden bow(bis). I wouldn’t be participating in a pay-to-win function?
play - to -win is part of the RPG genre.
If TBC is out neither purchase is relevant.
You are correct.
This is pathetic.
You’re basically on your knees grabbing at people’s robes sobbing and wailing “Please, just let me have something! PLEASE!”

here’s your attention mr. 1300 posts, now leave because you’re not getting any more.
Yes, you are right.
Those people that boost, with their lvl 58 character, in their crappy, un-optimized quest gear, 60% ms mount, and no professions will have SUCH a HUGE advantage over the lvl 60 fully naxx-geared players with maxed professions, epic mounts, and thousands of gold the won from doing GDKPs.
What a travesty!
