Gearing my alt at 1750mmr…playing people with a 2750 cr in 3s who are clearly tanking and selling carries. I’m about a week from cancelling my account all together.

He has a current rating of 2750 in 3v3 arena.

It’s actually pretty rare to run into a 2700+ cr 3s booster in a low mmr arena. I don’t doubt that it happened to you though

I play 2k-2.5k historically. 2k this season on my priest. Idc about chieves, been there and done that.
If you think taking an active role in destroying a system which provides so much fun and excitement for so many people is the right or acceptable thing to do…man this game is going to really suffer in the coming year.

the second you hit 1800+ mmr in 2s its nothing but current glad mounts. literally every match lol. I feel like part of it is the fact that the game is just kinda dead so bored players combined with carries makes it insanely obnoxious to push rating late season.

Yeah not sure what’s going on exactly but some Blizzard communications on the issue would be appreciated. I can pay a sub knowing it’s a topic of discussion and actively being looked into. No communication and little messaging makes me want to cancel my subscription. I love the game so I hope they start doing something and letting us know!
In other news I fought 2 gladiators on their alts at 1750 mmr and won. I was a happy boy.
Shortlived however, then tanked hard after facing 4 more other gladiator teams in a row. All warriors, BM hunters and resto druids.

Should glad xp players not be allowed to que on low gear/mmr alts?
You know boosting isn’t new, it started getting popular at the end of BFA with everyone trying to copy pikaboo’s “games with viewers” format.
Became an easy way for people to stream without being a personality or really offering anything else, season 1 SL is just a continuation of that.
They could remove pvp gear completely at this point and you’re still going to have glad/r1 players boosting viewers, for views/subs/gold as well as people buying 1800 boosts for elite transmogs/achievs/conquest cap just like always. Just look at pve, there is nothing they could do that would end this.
Obviously the fact that nobody is queing 3s anymore is a large contributing factor to how often people are doing it, But they are here to stay so just get over it and deal with it, or quit.
I like to q 2s at 1700 and make people sad about not getting their 220 gear : D

It’s not even the gear I’m worried about it’s who you’re playing at 1800 mmr. I’m honest with my skillset. I can compete and push to 2.2k and maybe higher if I don’t get bored and keep with it.
Myself along with many others won’t hit our natural ceiling by playing 2700 players constantly at 1800mmr. That’s the biggest problem.

Boosting has been a thing since MoP. I don’t remember too much before that in wrath/cata but back in MoP WW monks and MM hunters used to sell 2’s carries for gold for conq cap.
What do you want, realistically?
Prevent people from qing in any bracket other than their highest rated one?
