Haven’t played for a while, came back with the boost in preparation for MoP Classic. All my characters are on a locked server which I was unaware of or what it even meant. Used my boosted level on a new guy here only to find out my friend cant make a character here. I looked into it further to find out locked means he can’t come here and it’s a dead server. I can’t use the in game free transfer because it says this character used a character boost too recently. Try again later. How long is this and why isn’t a warning that I’m making a character on a server like that.
I think its locked for 24hrs.

Is it possible to just un do the boost? And make a new boost on the right server?
No it isnt.

Once done they can not be changed or undone

Character Boosts are permanent and will not be reverted once used on your character of choice.
