I recently used my level 60 boost on this toon. I have recently come back to WoW Retail, and just performed a completely fresh install. After performing the boost, the character shows as level 60, but cannot be logged into. Any attempt results in being disconnected. I checked the support for help, and as a result I did several things:
Character unstuck service- character not found
Fresh UI by renaming WTF, Cache, and Interface- Same results
Fresh install- Same results.
I can log in on every other character, this is the only one I cannot log into. I do not wish to wait 55 days for my ticket to be answered.
Yep, I’m having this same issue. It’s extremely frustrating because the character stuck service fails, (which is a suggested solution) yet the system deems the issue as completed and gives you a survey. Two weeks for a ticket is ridiculous and unacceptable.
I went and checked all my software updates. My computer and all components are up to date with the newest available drivers. But I do appreciate the help!
This isn’t a software, router or anything else issue.
There are reports on the EU forums as well. My guess is with the latest Pre-Patch they broke something with the Boost system.
But in short: Newly boosted characters just can’t log in as far as I can tell. All other characters are totally fine (and just to be sure, tried disabling all addons, reset UI and deleting WTF folders, etc).
It is something on Blizzard’s end with newly boosted characters.
I am seeing the same issue. I boosted a character earlier today and when I try to log into that character I get disconnected. All my other characters are fine.
yeah the support ticket system is not very intuitive and basically puts you in a loop with no ticket submitted. it recommends the stuck character option but that doesnt help. all boosted characters are stuck and disconnect when trying to login. the patch or maintenance today did little if anything to help.
I opened a ticket for another reason, billing, which seems to be their priority. I was contacted within 1 day. They then transferred me, but I imagine the ticket still had a top priority flag from the creation, so I was spoken to by 2 different GMs since I posted this topic. The problem is, they keep saying the Devs will contact me but when is the last time a Dev has contacted a player for something like this.

which has a Blue Response and consolidate our reports if you haven’t already. If we can focus all the traffic into one thread and keep it trending with a high reply count, maybe we can get a faster resolution.
