Boosted 70 Renown purchases

I boosted a lvl 17 up to 70 using the new boost.

I was happily surprised to see that she had lvl 20 renown on all DF factions (except Niffen which is level 12, fine) However, when I visit a vendor to purchase items that are under level 20, like Drakewatcher manuscripts, it says the item is locked. What is causing the lock?

Probably a bug report it in the bug forums.

You have enough of the vendor currencies required to purchase these items? Dragon Isle supplies especially, but a lot have different items you need to have to turn in to receive them.

I do. In addition to the renown, the boost gave me 5000 Dragon Isle supplies and a set of 424 gear.

The renown recognition is probably on a 24 hour cooldown to be recognized just like a boosted character can’t do any raids for 24 hours after boosting?

24hours after you bought your boost try it and report back please

Im having the same issue on my boosted Evoker

I’m having the exact same issue. I tried leveling up all the renowns once to see if that made it recognize the change. But it’s still not letting me purchase Drakewatcher manuscripts or collect certain rewards.

I also just noticed, but I also don’t have any of the Ally renown boosts on my other characters. I put in a ticket but I haven’t heard back yet.

I’ll also wait and see if the 24 hours fixes anything and report back too

Update: The 24 hours came and went and no fix as yet

this was the whole reason I pre-ordered…

Same. Dont expect a response till monday. Most of Blizz is focused on Blizzcon

Well they are aware of it.

GMs Response

Please if you have this issue PLEASE submit a bug report in game. The more of us reporting the faster they fix it

File a bug report also. GMs that handle tickets are not liaisons with QA.

I submitted a bug report. It was greater than 24 hours and I am also, still unable to purchase items locked behind renown where I now meet those requirements. Additionally, I noticed that “Word of a Worthy Ally II” is not present where it should be (for example, a character at renown 13 does not see the boost up to renown 20)

You already have a reply from a GM stating that exactly.

The only Blues on this forum are SFAs. They’re not GMs, nor are they Devs who fix the issues. And only SFAs post on this forum. Devs, they’re not very communicative at the best of times, let alone about a bug. GMs don’t come to the forums at all, let alone post.

Your ticket response is the equivalent of one of our SFAs saying “the appropriate people are aware and are working on the issue.”

Point made. Im just frustrated with the situation

Which is absolutely understandable. It is my hope that with BlizzCon being over and the staff who were away returning back to the office today and all, that we’ll be seeing updates/fixes to these things for folks who are affected.

And even though they don’t directly fix the issue - if there are updates, our SFAs do try and relay those updates when there are larger widespread issues. Or if someone sees that a hotfix is queued up or already pushed through, they’ll try and pop it here in threads like this.

Do we need to post additional bug reports of this? OR comment on other threads? Not sure how it works - But I am also having this problem.

Yes, there is likely a thread in the Bug Report Forum already. Everyone experiencing this issue can add their experience to the thread. Any additional information can only help nail it down and fixed.

Just to be clear, this is not accurate. Everyone should add their information to the Bug Report Forum. Opening tickets will do nothing for the issue. The team who fixes bugs does not answer CS tickets. They read the in-game Bug Reports and the Bug Report Forum.

A bug report ticket and a customer service ticket are two different things.

For a bug report ticket you hit the escape button and game then you hit support and then you hit the button that says submit bug report. It’s still a ticket but it’s not a customer service ticket.

I’m sorry I should have been more clear about that I meant submit a bug report in game. I edited my comment to make it more clear

The quickest option is to hit Escape while in game then click the support button and a window pops up. From there click the option that says submit a bug report

You can do this in game and that bug ticket will go right to the Developers. Don’t confuse this with submitting a customer service ticket because a GM can’t help you

I have sent the items to my warlock, toon I boosted, and not only do the supplies not register, but neither does the renown
