Anyone know if the boost will be available on prepatch or TBC launch?
No confirmed information on that.
No one knows yet
Totally read that as “no confirmed confirmation” at first. I think I had a stroke.
No confirmed confirmation on that confirmation.
Blizzard hasn’t mentioned anything, but if I was gonna bet I’d say boosts will not turn up until the Dark Portal opens.
Can confirm the lack of confirmed confirmation on that confirmation.
See I’m the complete opposite, blizz has given the max level boosts in every pre patch of every new xpac. So I reckon they will give us boosts for prepatch
Ya feel me?
100% giving boosts for pre patch more money
Since it’s here to join your friends in TBC it should be when the dark portal open.
But, i guess it’ll be more profitable for them to give the boost during the pre-patch
You’re wrong.
Blizzard is going to offer boosts during the prepatch. It will give players time to familiarize themselves with their characters and start preparing for TBC. Doing it any other way would be really obnoxious and hurt the total amount of returning players.
LOOOL like they wouldn’t play tbc if they were “forced” to play the game normally. Retail players - “THE ONLY WAY I’D PLAY TBC IS IF I COULD CHEAT”
I could see them releasing boosts a week or 2 before the Dark Portal opens. But not right on prepatch
the intro quest line ends at the dark portal so probably on launch
I already bought my boost. What’s all the fuss about?
I am going to have to agree with Warear. If Blizzard holds true to how they have done boosts in retail, we get it in the expansion pre-patch.
Every expansion since the first boost was introduced, they give it to you in pre-patch.
And the questline does not start at the Dark portal, it starts at your main city, where you talk to your class trainer and do some intro quests around the city. It ends at the dark portal. So they could activate the intro quests just make the last step contingent of the portal being open to finish.
What are you smoking and how is the boost cheating?
Btw I’m a retail player and have 4 level 60s and a shaman and druid at 44 currently. Get over yourself.

LOOOL like you are not going the buy the boost too. Old Mentality players - “THE ONLY REAL WAY TO PLAY IS THE WAY WE DID IT IN 2007, up hill both ways in the snow!”

You can’t move on until the quest line is finished and as I said, it ends at the dark portal. Seems like it’s set up to immediately enter outland which can not be done during the prepatch. Honestly I hope they do offer it during the prepatch to increase the number of people raiding for that time period.

We have had questlines that we could not finish till later phases, like in retail there was that whole questline where we went to heal Azeroth, we could only do parts of it and had to wait till a later event to continue.
The Intro could very well do the same. You get a quest that sends you to the dark portal, but you are told you cannot continue right now and to come back when the portal is open.
