Boomie is the new ret

Hello,
I think we have all been expecting some changes based on last ssn frequency…
so far, crickets…
Most of the players at least on “higher” ratings which is sadly like 2.1+ now are stopping to play and its all gonna cascade down on more casual players…
There are few specs rn that are just vastly overperforming making the game extremely frustrating…
I dont even know why precog exists but its completely brutal rn for melees, almost every game is 2x caster cause its just way too easy to play and hard to punish…
Boomie is just terrorizing the ladder just like ret after rework, forums are not full of it simply because its not so apparent on lower ratings, but higher up, there is nothing but boomie + X
List of specs that need some tuning therefore starts with boomie and X being lock, sub rogue, enha…ele does a lot as well, but if boomie wasnt so busted it would be completely bearable
Since its a post about boomkins: nerf the dmg, its just way too much throughout the game, nerf the fast clone so there is more potential for counterplay (dont nerf the clone duration because ur gonna screw all druids not just boomies and resto/feral are already average), starburst mechanic needs to be removed/reworked and another adjustments implemented…my whole screen is covered in exploding stars, lightning effects and im flying in the air back to back…i feel like 7 yrs old kid in a jumping castle, its just bad design for pvp…
Blizzard game could be way more enjoyable if these few specs: boomie, destro, demo, sub rogue, enha sham got addressed…from healers mw is just sitting on the top but there will always be a top healer and i probably wouldnt touch healers too much before these few outlier dps specs get nerfed and adjust afterwards if needed…

But please, do some tunings before everyone quits the game :smiley:

Not as golden as killing a ret in earthen. I peaked 59k tick ignites that round. I had hyperthermia, time warp proc and PI on combust. Was glorious

Fire mages just all og a sudden dumping damage on people but hella squishy.

Im all down for reducing damage across the board. People getting globaled like its league is annoying.

It was cause Blizzard decided not to just nerf Druid/Lock/Mage/DK/Rogue CC for the sake of Healers, and instead they threw Precog to everyone, which wound up benefitting casters DPS too.

Until people start linking boomie reroll checkpvps of people getting 2400 who have never been past 1800 before, like were being passed around during Retpocalypse, gonna have to question that comparison

Yeah as much as I absolutely despise this wizard meta hell we’re in, 10.0.7 was literally 1500 players pushing 2 buttons to and winning.

Moonkins drooling and pushing starfall is pretty bad but DF launch DH and 10.0.7 ret were unqiuely bad.

Lol Ret was waaaaaaaaaaay worse. I have never experienced anything quite like it in this game. Give boomie way more burst, twice as much instant healing/survivability that does not dampen their damage and 2 10 second immunities and then we’re talking.

Yeah, what’s happening now is gross, but Ret will forever cast a shadow over anything else that is overpowered by having been just that much worse. It’s the only spec that has ever (IME) warranted coming up with some new letter, because just adding plus signs after ‘S’ would never be enough. That being said I think initial DH was about on par with current busted specs.

ret was demolishing ladder across the board, even everyone on low rating…
boomie is apparent only higher up which respectfully, is not where lot of u are rn or generally pay attention to…
mby boomie cant oneshot you, but he will win a game no matter what so how is it different? u cant win a boomkin team if they are not completely braindead :smiley:
try to check some twitch games on higher mmr and then come back…

u realize this is completely wrong right? ssn is just starting now and ret rework happened in the end of last ssn…u can hardly find ppl rerolling boomie now and getting 2.4…there is no inflation

was watching Saul/Smexxin/Gekz today playing turbo on top mmr…well, at least they started…
Saul went 0-30 into boomie/sub/evoker p much…
like i havent seen smthing like that in a very, very long time…and they played good, but sadly, there was a boomie/sub rog on the enemy team…
u would win more even into ret after rework than this…cant rly be any worse than this :D…
but again, boomie is not destroying ppl across the board, but try to play games on 2.1+…if u are lucky to get games cause most of the ppl on my tag just stopped qing till this crap gets nerfed, ur still gonna lose to boomie…
only way to win a boomie team is to have a boomie on your side as well…ret situation all over again
