Can you get the same item again on a bonus roll or an item you already have looted on your character? If I sell or DE said item, is there a chance I would get it again next week on a bonus roll?
I was wearing the Grips of Terra Cota on my hunter and bonus roll’d them again attempting to get the bow. Unfortunately, you can bonus roll an item you already own.

I bonus rolled the first weapon off of Garajal on my monk when I already had it. I also bonus rolled the trinket when I already had it off of Elegon when I was trying to get the heroic chest. it would be extremely awkward if there was a system in place that you could only get the item if you didnt already have it. Dual wield classes would be incredibly cucked by it.
the bonus roll system just uses the boss drop table and looks for items marked for your class, it doesn’t take into account whether you have that item or not. just like how when your raid kills a boss it doesn’t take into account you have no holy paladin so no need to drop the Int plate pieces.
I am immune to this. All i get is gold

Part of me wishes, did back then as well, that there was no gold reward. If it was just “you get nothing, good day!” it wouldn’t feel as bleh. Nothing would just be another lost roll… but a few mobs worth of gold is like “I got you a dollar” energy.
it does take your loot spec into account

Its if its on the table, you are eligible for the item, it can land in your bag with a roll weather you have none, one, or ten of them. It is really obvious they didn’t look at the tables to well, you know, note the priest getting shields giga drop that occurred. I have heard of more things like this.
