He is what’s wrong with America. Not everyone is given privileges like that and the rich get richer.
Fact he’s a billionaire after firing and treating his employees not very well is distasteful

Is it? What textbook do you get those statistics from?
None you’ve ever found in any institution of learning you’ve ever attended, that’s for sure…
Because lived experience.
Am I right?
Abbbbbbbsolutely.
none?
what swarf is saying is just common sense.
everyone is subject to their circumstances and shaped by them mostly. what you can control is very minimal.
And to add to your point, handing someone money doesn’t mean they’ll be successful. People win the lotto four times a week and it’s shocking to read about how many of them file for bankruptcy a few years later.
So yeah luck had a little bit to do with it but the majority of his success was from knowing what to do with his “leg up.”
Its not common sense. Its magical nonsense based on spiritual romanticism.
Bobby’s share in activision is currently worth around 500 million dollars, he has 4 million shares. the second largest holder of shares, also on the board of directs has around 1.4 million shares or so valued at 137 million.
If you wondered why the board didn’t fire Bobby it’s because they were shopping around to sell blizzard and all get golden parachutes out of this debacle.
They weren’t going to screw him and he wasn’t going to screw them it was mutually assured self destruction money wise.
He didn’t care what anyone thought of him or this disaster because he knew at the end of it he was overlooking a private island from a private mansion that requires a private jet to arrive at your own private airstrip on.
His name has absolutely been a thing in gaming circles for a while. If you didn’t know Bobby before this, you weren’t paying attention.
I dunno what you get out of shilling for Bobby here on the WoW forums. He has more money than you’ll ever make in your life, he doesn’t need you defending his honor. He’ll be okay, don’t worry.
That comes from dirt poor people winning the lotto. When you’re poor, your brain is running on constant scarcity mode. It’s why poor people tend to end up just giving most of their money away to buy gifts for friends because they don’t know how to invest their money because they don’t get that financial education like those who are well off do. And that also comes down to the circumstances of one’s birth.
Citation needed.
People who are well off don’t play the lottery.
Where did you acquire that belief?
The saying “the lottery is a poor people tax” isn’t a saying for nothing.
Ah so you’ve fallen for the stereotyping trap. Good to know.
You’re not even presenting any arguments. You’re doing the reddit thing of “uhhhh source??? SOURCE???” and when someone points something out that’s common knowledge you pretend you have the high ground.
Poor people use the lotto because they don’t have the knowledge of how to invest nor do they have that infrastructure in their lives. They end up spending their money precisely because they’re poor and they don’t know how to invest in the future because they’re living paycheck to paycheck.
I don’t need one. The statements were nonsensical.
There’s nothing nonsensical about common knowledge.
So this “only poor people…” mumbo jumbo is a “common sense” statistic that people should just intuitively understand?
I’m just trying to get this pseudo-religious mumbo jumbo correct.
