Bnet update Agent stuck at 45%

I made a previous topic about how I couldn’t log into battlenet, recently I have uninstalled and reinstalled battlenet to see if that would fix the issue.

But after the last uninstall, when I attempted to reinstall it the update agent is stuck at 45%. Even if I delete the installation and redo it again I get the same results.

EDIT: Was able to finally fix this issue and install Bnet, but back to the infinite “Logging In”. So I still can’t update/play WoW. I don’t know what to do anymore…I don’t think I can fix it. Wasted hours already trying.

Same issue:
Tried all the the recommendations here - [Battle.net Update Agent stuck - Desktop App Tech Support - Blizzard Forums] battlenet-update-agent-stuck/46646 :

1. Update your drivers to resolve any compatibility issues.
2. Run a security scan to remove any viruses or malware infections.
3. Configure your security software’s exception list to allow Blizzard applications to run.
4. Create a new administrator account to resolve permissions issues.
5. Uninstalling and reinstalling the Battle.net App may resolve rare launcher issues.

I managed to get BNet installed again, after deleting all files app files / tempt files / etc through run commands and deleting the blizzard and bnet folders:

Then have issues with the updater again; stuck continuously on ‘waiting’ when trying to update WoW classic (Hardcore Hype). Finally have a Bnet crash which asks me to restart Bnet / PC. I do so, and then I receive the error again from the updater “BLZBNTBNA00000005” Battle.net update agent went to sleep trying to wake it up.

All issues seem to stem from the interaction between Bnet and the Bnet updater. Uninstall Bnet after having deleted all files and I manage to get past the 45%, but I still have the issues with the Bnet update agent being asleep.

This is an endless cycle which always leads me back to not actually being able to update / play WoW.

try that maybe that’ll help

exactly im having this exact problem never hadbit before but today bnet is stuck at 65% “Updating battlenet” then just closes. Before there was a new patch for wrath of the lich king i couldnt download it so i deleted battlenet and now cant download battlenet

update very annoying. i was able to install battlenet by scramblin around on the internet brushin up on somethin sayin to restart my modem or 1 of those things in internet settings and that worked

Thanks for the tip.

I wonder what blizzard did that caused this whole screw up. A few days ago everything was running fine.

EDIT: Well I did uninstall Bnet and delete the folder the files were in. Got past the 45% and now stuck on my original issue. A installed Bnet that is giving me infinite Logging In…

I recently installed Bnet app on my iphone so this time when I clicked “Log In” It asked for an authenticator. Completed that and still got the infinite logging in.

I don’t think I can fix this. I think the issue lies on Blizzards end.

I don’t think so, I think this is your issue. I never have issues with the updates.
