Bnet Mobile app compatability

I recently got a new phone, a Samsung Galaxy A35. The Bnet mobile app will not work on this phone. it will not connect no matter what I do.

My question is, is there another way or another app that can be used in place of the Bnet app?

Nothing that would be supported by Blizzard.

No. The only other option is an old keyfob Authenticator, but they are no longer available for purchase. Buying one on the secondary market is technically possible, but even if you find one for a good price and is trustworthy, the technology is extremely outdated and the batteries are near the end of their natural life span.

This is the odd part as that looks to be a fairly recent model of phone and should support the current version of Android.

Did you already have an authenticator on the battle.net account and did you remove it or use the ‘Restore’ option when you got the new phone? Or are you trying to add a new authenticator to an account that already has one attached?

Yes I had the mobile app on my old phone. I had to remove the authenticator so I could access my account.

I’ve been through all kinds of “Fixes” I found on the forum and elsewhere like, Setting google chrome to default browser, disabling add blockers and malware blockers. The app still won’t connect.

I think the next best course of action is try the Battle.net Mobile Bug Report forums.
